He had total air...he had 9/6 - picked up a straight draw on the turn.

Only my hand was wrong...

Re: Live at the Bike 2012 thread

I watched the replay of the limit episode last night. For the most part, I enjoyed the episode. However, like the poster above, I was amazed at the blatant soft playing between two of the players. WTF? Is this an accepted practice at the Bike? The players certainly weren't trying to hide what they were doing.

As long as players aren't squeezing people, which these two weren't, I don't see how checking it down hurts the other players. You should listen to one of the Limon podcasts on Deuce Plays, I think either the third or the fourth. He thinks that softplaying is actually GOOD for the game. Anything that is going to make the recreational players happy and more comfortable I'm not going to stop.

when players try to hide this sort of stuff is when it gets sketchy. some of the best games ive played in are when armos soft play eachother but they announce it to everyone. it allows you to adjust properly to the situation.

i was playing at commerce 5/10 and was involved in a 3way hand w/ 2 armos who i know softplay eachother and always check it down. 1st armo raised utg, 2nd armo w/ $500 stack looked at his friend and made a huge 3bet to let his friend know he has it. i was next to act and snap folded QQ. folded back to 1st armo and he folded quickly and armo 2 flashed him his hand and armo 1 smiled and nodded.

Re: Live at the Bike 2012 thread

So i have posted on the LATB forum multiple times but I don't even think people monitor that forum cause i haven't gotten an answer in over 6 months.

My question is why are there so many missing episodes?

For instance no episodes for 10/7-12/21 2005 or 6/1 - 8/31 2006

Also some other shows just missing from the archives, as an archive subscriber and a paying customer i would really like to know where the shows are, if there are just lost or w/e.

Thank you for any help and if i should bring this to the attention of someone else please let me know

Re: Live at the Bike 2012 thread

Turned on tonight to see a SNG with Annie Duke in the booth. Shut it down before I even got to see any hands. Please no more Annie and no more SNG. (I realize the value of variety but once for either of these feels like too much. Just my opinion of course.)

Also you guys seem to be having some sort of poker celebrity on a lot lately (Jeff Madsen was being trumped up during the little I saw tonight). Please do not think this is necessary. I am way more interested in seeing the LATB created poker celebrities (Corp Mike, Bdub heck even James) than any TV poker celeb. I believe most LATB viewers would agree with me on this.
