Really? Mr. Clean and Ron are fun to watch? Ron used to be fun before he became self-aware. Mr. Clean is the nittiest of nits. I look forward to them checking it down with half the table.

It's a fine line though of having nitty "real life players" and having an entertaining product

One of the initial things that drew me, and made my sub, to LATB was that it was a "real game" and not pros who have 5% of their action playing comedicly high.

However, if it's going to be the same rotating cast of characters then I want them to actually be entertaining. Seems like on every NLH show it's 5-6 LATB regs, which is fine, but if that's the case I stop watching when it's 3 way check downs and players have a 3% VPIP.

So the real meat in this promo is for the LA guys only... gotcha.

Why would anyone outside LA want to win, pay to travel and buy in, just to save rake?

It's saying you're giving away something without really giving away all that much... unless you're an LA tourney grinder.

Why not just pay econo airfare, hotel and maybe a prelim event or two? If an LA guy wins, you're only giving up a buy in.

We understand it's not as valuable for non-local subscribers, but we are still giving away $500 plus a year subscription. And if you're ever in LA, we will honor the free hotel stay. We're happy to substitute with a hat and shirt for what it's worth for the non-locals. Either way, it's a freeroll for subscribers and it gives everyone a way to interact with each show and have someone to root for. At the very least it should be a fun contest for all.
