Those final tables were only shown streaming over the internet, in a format that required you to watch for like 10 straight hours, usually resolving at like 5am eastern. The audience for something like that is like 1% of the audience for a prime time ESPN broadcast.
Why doesn't ESPN put together highlight shows from these tables that can be shown in 2 hours, since they already have the footage and the hole cards? They don't have to show them on the main network on prime time, but I have to think they would garner more views than the endless repeats of past years they are always showing on ESPN2.
