How much Antonio Esfandiari actually won?

Hey everyone im just curious as to how much Antonio actually got from his one drop win. He didn't have 100% of his action for the one drop and I am just curious how much of his own action did he have. Was there anything said about it?

Which is more than a lot of other pros had... Hellmuth had 0%.

If he had 15% of himself like was said then he won... ~$2mil

If he had 3.5% of himself then he won... ~$450k

Both numbers are pure profit after taxes.

I find it super hard to believe he would have 15% of himself.

I would presume he was selling his action at a markup. So, if he sold 80% @ 1.2, that means he would put in 4% ($40,000) and would have 20% of the action. No clue what the actual numbers were, but I'd presume some markup in certain shape or form.

Hellmuth might have had a large piece of himself cauz if you remember he made it through the qualifier.

Hellmuth tweet...

@phil_hellmuth: Finished in 4th place for $2.6 Million, a lot of money, but I had only 15% of myself...$18.3 Million would have come in handy!

So he basically owned his markup.

I dont think he had markup. He didnt actually win the satellite, when there were 8 people left they made a decision Hellmuth would play and reprsesent the group of 8. All of them got shares according to the chips they had at the time of the deal. avg would be 12,5%, and if Hellmuth got 15% so he had slightly over avg stack.

There were a few billionaires in there as well, so I doubt they made any deals and paid markup, just realized it's unlikely they will win the satellite but wanted to have a sweat. I dont know though, just speculating. Of course it might be Hellmuth got a few percentage points more than he should have, but for some reason I kind of doubt it. Everyone probably wanted to play (who wouldnt, cool $1 million buy-in tournament) but decided it's better to let him play. I know I would not give him markup if I was in the satellite, I would want to play and would have without markup obviously

Why? Do you think he had more or less?

Re: How much Antonio Esfandiari actually won?

Esfandiari had 10% max of himself

i strongly doubt he would put up 100k of his own money to play in a tourney (he was pretty much broke before the series)

What's the percent chance he was 100% staked by Guy? He's got more money than he knows what to do with, and they are good friends it seems.

Is it fun to make up things that you have no clue about?
