Stapleton is different. It doesnt matter if he is good or bad with his comments/jokes, when you are different everyone despise you in the beginning.

I thought he was trying too hard to be funny, now i realize he actually IS funny, and have a quick mind.

Sometimes gets too result oriented when commentating hands tho.

Stapes is the third best thing to ever happen to poker media.

Anyone actually hating on him is an idiot.

Not liking him and his commentary is fine and personal opinion obv - just let me know so I never make the mistake of trusting your judgement on anything poker commentary related.

Stapes is the greatest in the business and who could you really compare to him. Fine you don't have to think he's the greatest comedian in the way oversaturated comedian market but do you know how many people who can come up with so many things with a very limited non existing writting staff except his co host.

Stapes is a ****ing good dude also and probably a 1%er in terms of humor in the really non humorous poker world.

Just look at ****ing nvg the front page of poker, how unfunny poker his. His base material.

I was playing the UKIPT Series event in London and he was on another table.

He spotted a friend on my table so he came across to chat to him, his friend was involved in a hand so he didn't speak, instead he pretended to commentate on the hand in progress as if it was the EPT feed.

It was very funny and sums him up

Just been to my local casino in the UK to play cash.

There was a chopped pot and 3 people sang "everyone loves a chop pot"

This just shows how many people are watching the EPT stream and EPT shows.

He's appealing to the right people

The commentating in the ept super high roller monte carlo was some of the worst if ever heard.. It was tilting as **** to the point i could barely watch it
