I don't follow poker much anymore, and I was curious if Kassouf make 9 or how he busted. Needless to say what I found will keep me tuning in. I also found some clip of him putting Vanessa selbst on tilt, which was pretty funny

I have seen that clip. How do you know he put her on tilt? It looked like she was just briefly annoyed. Impossible to say if it affected her play.

Yeah and imagine how many more minbet bluffs against her didn't make it to air. She is horribad.

I wonder why is not anyone putting Kassouf nt his place and they all just let him abuse the table with his **** talk. What are the Vegas rules when it come s to table talk? What if Im HU against him in a hand and he talks ****, can I tell him to shut up? stfu? Can I ask him if he is actually suffering from Asperger? Can I tell him to stop acting like an idiot? To stop talking to himself, because it makes him look mentally unstable? How far could I take it? Do I just have to sit there and take the abuse? Can I call floor on him for table **** talk?

His table talk is not friendly as he often claims, its meant to annoy and abuse weaker players, I would have a big problem not to fight against it, using his own **** against him.

Wow - Norm with the Bleznick card ripping reference. Between that and Mizzi someone (be it Chad or the ESPN guys feeding him lines) is more in the know than usual.

Annoying table talk is allowed. If he (or you) resorts to name calling or similar talk, a penalty can ensue. Not a whole lot you can do but learn to ignore it and rise above it.

An argument can be made that his style of table talk is rude, poor etiquette, and indicative of a crappy player, but it is still allowed. Bring headphones and/or earplugs for such instances. The whole point is to tilt you and take you off your game and it seems like it would work against you. Frankly, it'd probably work against me too if I were stuck with him at a table for a length of time.

Kassouf mentioned that he got started by playing with his friends (I assume home game), and bluffing and table talk was a big part of game.

Anyone who talked incessantly like him at a home game would most likely never get a return invitation to play - unless of course his buddies are equally annoying!

I am afraid it actually would work against me. How come I cant **** talk back though if that is what he is doing to me? I cant even tell him "shut up"? Floorman at the feature table told him he cant talk when he puts bet out and it is other players turn so it seems to me he was crossing the line ....Seems strange.

But what exactly was so bad about her folds in that episode? I think she faced a river overbet with top pair / crappy kicker and her cbet with K high got raised on the flop. Both tough spots to be in, folding couldn't have been that unreasonable.

Oh you can talk back. But that's also what he wants and you can't cross the line. That's what makes him so good at it and yet so annoying: he knows how far he can push it to get people on tilt but not get to the point where he'll get penalized. That's what some people actually like and admire about what he does. If you're not well-practiced in it like he is, you may end up with a penalty yourself. Keep in mind that the more you talk, the more information you give so you always have to be very aware of what you're saying and how you say it.

Jack's decision about the penalty is controversial for that very reason. It's hard to say what he did that crossed the line other than acting like an annoying ass. Of course, something could have been edited out.

Kassouf doesnt seem as bad the more I watch him. I'm sure if you were dealing with it for 8 hours it would get old pretty fast, but I would just give it back to him the entire time and it might make for a fun table. One of the best times I've had was playing an event with JRB. He came off as the most annoying person I had ever played against for the first 30 minutes but he grew on me quickly and most of the table ended up having a blast telling stories and **** talking each other.

I thought we had moved beyond the Hevad Khan 'give the most annoying player the most TV time' syndrome.

am guessing turnover in the ESPN offices is such that nobody handling poker production there even KNOWS who Khan is/was much less how annoying he was...or Jamie Gold during his run...or Jerry Yang...or...any of the other truly annoying individuals that tilted viewers the way asshatKassouf does.

I just watched the first episode and I thought he was on facetious in what he was saying and just needling people.

Can't say for sure, one has to be there I guess. But yeah, if you take everything he said at face value, the word drag is warranted.

Yang never bothered me and this is the first I've heard of him tilting people. Is that a personal thing or the consensus?

His constant praying was fairly annoying, but it was mostly his horrible play that somehow kept working.

Blinds 40,000/80,000 8,000 ante

Yang: Raise.....one mirrion

Dealer: Uhh, sir, the big blind is o-

Yang: I SAID ONE MIRRION!
