Re: The Big 1 for One Drop @ ESPN2 July 3rd 4PM EST

The announcer for the Veetle stream needs to stop using the term "open fold" wrong when referring to the quad 8's hand.

Its worse than a steaming pile of crap at least you could grow tomatoes in a steaming pile of crap.
Absolute disgrace the WSOP couldn't sort this out better.

ESPN will cover the final 8.

Hole cards will be shown after the hand is over.

Event will be shown on a 15 min delay.

1p-4p pacific on ESPN2
5p-conclusion on ESPN

Whats that old saying " be grateful for small mercies "

Its not fantastic, but Tucman has had some interesting guests, who have given their insights on hand reading, ranges ect which was good.

Its the only chance I have of seeing the WSOP here in the UK?
Admittedly, showing some tables with no commentary is somewhat lame, but the stream is better than nothing.

Watching on my cell phone cause it was so choppy on my Mac. Weird that it would stream clearer on a phone through same internet service, but oh well...

Has been a pretty awesome tournament so far. Really glad I watched and I hope the commentary/ coverage tomorrow is good & not watered down because it is on ESPN.

11 left.

Re: The Big 1 for One Drop @ ESPN2 July 3rd 4PM EST

The commentators just need to slow down and stop worrying about story telling. Really getting annoying. Would rather hear what's happening at the table than most of what the commentators are talking about. The com's really are just trying too hard, props for working hard but they are over doing it. lol.

edit: i meant would rather hear the action at the table and what Hellmuth and Antonio are saying now. not random crap about another wannabe commentator talking about fold equity and loldonkaments lol donkacommentator.
edit: I think they're afraid of any dead air, rookie mistake. The people watching this live broadcast are not your recreational once a month garage $20 players, we don't need every second of the broadcast being filled by fast-talking gibberish. Slow it down some, and port in more of the actual table chatter. This is not a table on ESPN where a casual player might be channel-surfing and decide to stop in.

Re: The Big 1 for One Drop @ ESPN2 July 3rd 4PM EST

I know they are showing the hole cards (post-hand) for the final table coverage.....but does anyone know for definite yet if they have recorded hands from before the final table?

mainly thinking of seeing the quads hand at some point but no idea if its ever gonna be seen and therefore proven!!!
