I think he is funny but I have noticed a lot more of the above this season and I think its bad form.

Im watching an episode and a loose cannon has an Ace 9 suited in the small blind facing a raise. Joe says something about that the LC should reraise or fold, calling is out of the question, so matter of factly.

Today Im watching Prahlad call a raise with Ace 7 suited in the small blind and he says nothing.

Without arguing the merit of the strategy talk, he seems to be jumping on the loose cannons for some reason when a lot of the actual plays are the same that the professionals have done, a lot of times in the same episode.

Not sure if its him or Gobboboy writing the scripts, either way it doesn't come off well imo sounding so know it all. It can be worded better.

definitely seems like stapes is slightly biased against the cannon imo

We are not so much harsh against the cannon as we are lenient against the pros.

Stapes is the best thing to ever happen to poker on TV....Harrah's/WSOP should really consider hiring him for the main event

tbh some of the stuff this weeks LC has done (Huggins) has been so terribad that it warrants the comments from the commentators.. stapes is de man although some of his strat comments are pretty lol

Maybe wrong thread to post this, but I know I'm not the only one that tired of them talking about Gonzo Cannon and his last name. I think that ship has sailed, leave that joke alone and move on. I honestly can't wait until someone beat that 155,000 or so mark so they would stop bringing Gonzo Cannon name up again. But I know that is pretty hard to beat. I guess we'll just have to keep hearing the same old lame joke about Gonzo last name over and over again.

Other than that, Stapes is solid so far this season.
