this is the weirdest poker show I've ever seen. The camera angles and how close they zoom in on the players faces crack me up

As is evident in the "Cash Games in Macau" thread in NVG, privacy is important. Whales obv dont' want people knowing they're dumping 7 or even 8 figures.

When those 3 guys from Macau played the televised cash game + 100k/250k tourneys last year people started saying they were the whales but apparently they are not the big donators though they play there regularly

No commentary was strange and would be better if the table was more chatty and had better sound quality.

Re: Aussie Millions 2012 $250K

this is the most awkward poker I have ever watched...why aren't the players microphones louder? they are basically whispering

and to those people who are confused, this is a $250k tournament, not a cash game. Anyone have an idea how many people total were in this tournament? I don't think it was just these 6 people.

I was actually talking to someone and said I would much rather have no commentary in a poker show. Then I saw this thread.

I still think a no commentary show wold be great in a HSP or PAD cash game type of environment. The HSP table talk is always great and I think everyone is just more relaxed and talkative in the cash games. I see why the tourney show w/o commentary is awkward though.

I liked it without commentary as well, it felt like you were railing an intimate home game
