Anybody Remember a Hand Where Hellmuth Folds Middle Set vs. an Amateur Who Has Top Set?

I think this hand occurred at an older WSOP event (it certainly is at least a few years old, as I first saw it about three years ago and am almost positive it was from a few years ago then). Hellmuth has 1010 and his opponent has KK and they both make sets with no straights or flushes possible. After a surprisingly small amount of action (a bet and a single raise, I think... could possibly be a bet and two raises, but definitely not more than that), Hellmuth correctly puts his opponent on KK and folds the second nuts.

Hellmuth's opponent was a middle-aged amateur, I think this was a fairly old tournament, and I guess Hellmuth really figured he could only have the nuts the way the hand played out.

However, as clearly as I remember this hand, I can't find it or any references to it anywhere online. I've mentioned it to poker friends who have no recollection of ever seeing it (obviously they haven't seen every televised hand, but they watch lots of poker). Am I getting some key details wrong? Was it not Hellmuth, but somebody else who made this huge fold? Do I have the starting hands wrong? I'm really confused at this point. I know memory can play tricks on us, and I only saw this hand once three years ago, but it's difficult for me to think I just imagined it completely.

Does anybody remember a hand like this, or have any idea which hand I might be thinking of? I remember thinking at the time that it was the biggest laydown I had ever seen.

The closest thing that comes to mind that is similar; Roberto Romenello instead of Hellmuth, JJ instead of TT, straights are possible.

Thanks... it's not the Romanello hand, though, as I'm familiar with that hand and it's much more recent. I'm thinking of an older tournament (probably a WSOP event). I'm very confused at this point, as I casually mentioned this to a couple of poker friends, they hadn't heard of it, I tried to look it up to show to them and couldn't find anything... seems like I must have some (a lot of?) details wrong, but just not sure.

I remember an old hand where Hellmuth folds AK to AA on a an A44 flop or something. That could be what your thinking of? But as I type this I remember it is his famous "I can dodge bullets baby" So you would probs remember that particular hand!

i once had a hand wher i had pocket 8s and the flop came 4 8 king rainbow and i knew the other guy had kings from the way the hand played out.

instead of making a world class fold i just went all in and he snapped with pocket kings

lol...similar happened to me this saturday

i was playing a $50 donkament and this old nit was limp/calling every hand including AK/AQ - suddenly i get KK and raise, the old nit then 3bets me.
my thought "ok this guy is limp calling with AK/AQ, what is he 3 betting me with? its AA, 100% AA, there can't be another hand! im sure its AA, in fact its impossible its not AA...." I had like 12BBs behind so i couldn't set mine

"IM ALL IN!"

villain snaps and show AA

lol

Its not that hard to fold a set on dry flop against certain opponents. Especially old nits, they think its correct to slowplay all their big hands.

Like when a nit 3 bets your preflop, and the flop is like Q72, and he checks... then calls or raises your bet, its a set of queens like 99% of the time...

KK is a snap fold against old nits, their 3-betting range is QQ, KK, AA, that's it.
