AJ Benza replaced by a woman on HSP - Page 11 - Poker Card Room

No need for random hot bitches to host poker shows. Its okay to have a kind of sideline reporter girl who is good looking. But no girl commentators/analysis. Im the kind of person who really enjoys those coaches who offer in-depth analysis on televised sporting events (i.e. Jon Gruden on MNF). I would like to see that on HSP or WSOP. Unless the eye candy is going to do a strip tease at the end of every show, I say go with AJ or at least a pro like Negreanu.

Oh I would also love more PLO cash games on tv. The Million dollar cash game in Australia where they had mixed NLH/PLO was very entertaining. I do realized PLO can be confusing to follow but with an expert player commentator, it can work out. MORE PLO HIGH STAKES ON TV PLEASE.

IMO, there is no better commentary in poker, AJ and Gabe are a hoot. They provide better flow than PAD and don't make constant, spectacularly unfunny jokes like Chad on ESPN's WSOP.

I think AJ hit the nail on the head when he said replacing him with was like adding licorice to a pizza that's been selling well for five years.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Please don't mess with success in entertainment. It's so easy to screw things up. And DO NOT make the show more like Poker After Dark by adding an interviewer. Weird tho, i like PAD's style and HSP's (old) style.

Something about Nejad's commentary matches PAD, maybe it grew on me,idk. But i like being able to watch the action with "less" talking from the booth.

At the same time, i lke HSP's style w/Benza & Kaplan, mainly for the comedy. And Kapln's take on the game...like commentating on what he thinks the Pro is thinking @ the moment...is very entertaining.

I wouldn't have changed either shows' situation.

The new format sucks.aj was a great straight man. Now Gabe is just talking to himself. My g/f also loves the old shows but quickly lost interest this year already

I'm rather disappointed in this new season. The constant interviews bore me.

I'm not for sure, but it felt like they played ten hands or less. More play and

less talk would make for a better show (who really cares what Phil H thinks

anyway his play is worse in every tv appearance). I miss Gabe and AJs banter

as well.
