for sure, thanks for doing what u do as well. i watched half of the first ep so far, there's a stretch of a few minutes where it continually repeats stuff it already showed...

also, sadly, the commentary is really inferior to the cash game imo.

i dunno, maybe im being too critical, but i didnt enjoy watching the high roller bowl nearly as much as the cash game. kara is great as an interviewer and "shot transition" girl, but shouldnt be calling the play by play action IMO.

...i think shes a pretty good co-commentator, but giving her the job of calling every action is a bad move. first off, all of her lines are scripted. its pretty easy to tell shes not just calling it off the cuff, but just reading lines that either she or somebody else prepared. this really hurts the way hands are presented to the audience in more ways than one. it just feels more like a TV show instead of a live action game. also, while i do like her, shes not a professional player. she knows the basics but most of her commentary is just low level, obvious stuff... "and sam will need a 3 or hes out" ..."and the odds are now 50-50, its a true coin flip".

I had binge watched the cash games and the commentary was so ****ing good. Now being subjected to Kara in the tourny seems intolerable.

Thanks to your work I just started watching the cash game and found this part particularly interesting :

I've created a season 1 pack for Super High Roller Cash Game on KAT, with the first 12 episodes in 720p straight from pokercentral.com, and the missing footage from episode 1 spliced in from the 360p release, plus episode 13 and 14 (not available on the PC site) in 360p (converted to mp4 to match the others).

haha, sweet find. i had my suspicions regarding JRB and matt kirk doing some vegas skiing during filming of the SHRCG. it was pretty obvious with kirk but i wasnt as sure about JRB. seems as though that basically confirms it. maybe thats how JRB funds his buyins? doing weekly white lady runs between vegas and mexico

you da man. how did you manage to splice in the 360p footage into your 720p rip? i tried to do that and couldnt figure out how to splice in different resolution clips into a container such as mp4 or mkv. kept getting told the resolutions both have to be the same. howd you manage?

I use Adobe Premiere Pro. It has an option to expand any video section to the same res as the highest res of the video.
