The winner is cute (which I know is really super very important to the average 2 + 2'er!). Anyway, this poker was more entertaining than I had expected it to be, so it's all good as far as I'm concerned.
Now if they'd only start up coverage of the mixed game events, I'd be happy for real for real!

+1 to pretty much all of this, I was even joking about my man crush on that guy while watching it. It was funny cuz he was such a nerdy looking kid and turned into the coolest guy ever no hom-oe

ya wtf was that. Stein had 16 bb and We Win had 30. He must think his 16 BB open-not-shoving range is nutted? idk but that was crazy
also lol @ that guy's name really being pronounced We Win

yeah I was really stunned by folding TT here, but I pretty much liked the coverage of this event, the players were decent at worst.
WE WIN is the best poker name EVER.

The Main Event coverage is kind of fun, because you just see the amazing hands, but other than that, what's the point?

Re: 2012 WSOP on ESPN: WSOP National Championship August 7, 8-10pm
confused as to how Nikolas Stone qualified? He had like 40k in live tournament cashes, and the ways to qualify are:
1) win a WSOPC Main (clearly no)
2) be WSOPC Casino Champion (clearly no)
3) be a top 100 WSOP/WSOPE player and pay 10k (clearly no)
so how was he in?

The top 100 from the 2011-12 WSOPC 'National Leaderboard' qualified without having to pay the $10K. If Stone didn't win a main or wasn't a Casino Champion, he qualified by being in that top 100.

I knew I was missing a 4th way, thanks. However, my question still stands. The graphic they showed said he had $25k-ish in lifetime wsopc cashes, can't imagine that you could make the top 100 with that amount.

Cool thanks! Def wasn't intended as any dig at him just was curious, seemed you generally would have had to get a larger bink to be casino champ.

I agree. How can a 1st and a 6th (both in prelim events) in a series of 12 events make you the Series Winner? Seems mathematically implausible.
