I think villains who l/c 4x pre oop are usually not folding tp, esp. not HU for small raises.

I was actually trying to get value from a jack. I had a thread on Reddit about it and people were saying there is no way a one pair hand would call. Given that he actually had AQ off, I definitely think I could have gotten value from a jack. I get called by hands like ace high or middle pair here all the time, let alone top pair.

I think u def want to bet that flop with most hands that end up wanting to get value from tp (wp u didn't post your actual hand btw ). And don't trust poker advice of rnd reddit ppl, even here in a specialized poker board there is a lot of ridiculous advice. Saying there is no way ppl call tp otr is braindead. Lot of rnd actually call off tp in multiway pots for larger raise sizes as well. They're not assessing ranges, give attention to betsizing etc., looking at relative rather than absolute hand strength etc. pp. --> they see tp is good hand, they call down.

a jack would call your river bet there every time if that was the action, especially because he limped from ep which should make his jack combos stronger (not saying its right though )

How would you ever fold out UTG+1 with a jack with thatbet on the river. He has to call 350 to win 1590 which means he only needs to show up with the best hand 22% of the time which i have to believe a pair of jacks will win much more often than 22% of the time.

I don't see how you wouldn't get value from a jack based on the pot odds you layed him.
