Our table is 4 handed other is 5 handed - hero is 7/9

200 hands with villain and he has 3bet roughly 22% - He has been 3betting me often, more than others and i have called some and folded others but he def likes to 3bet often from blinds. Bare in mind only 1 prson had busted in the last hour.zzz

Current payout is $792, On the other table is one stack of 9bb and payouts increase for 7th to $1,350?

Hero has 20bb on BTN
Vil has 43bb in BB

KQ

Hero raises to 2.1bb, Vil raises to 5.5bb, hero???

Can we jam this? I had been wiffing flops and getting rivered for 2 hours and since going two tables i had dropped 30bb~ so was feeling a bit ****

So obv we can't fold 4 handed with this hand, do we just call knowing he's going to c-bet every flop or do we just jam with our FE and against his range have 40-50% equity and hope to increase our stack by 25% without showdown?

Yeah, go ahead and jam. 22% 3-bet is very high and you are only 20BB deep. Whatever he does with his range at that point doesn't matter because you are going to be making profit from him either folding his junk or calling with bad equity. Although calling in your spot is very profitable it is not nearly as good as jamming.

Jam, sucks when he actually has a hand.

Whats the best route to take to get maximum value out of his range, knowing he is opening 40-5% - seems normal 4 handed. Since we're in top 10% of ours, how do we extract the most value with our stack.

I think that flatting and jamming are +EV but flatting and then jamming over a cbet more value then jam fold?? I'm unsure how to work this out if anyone can help.

personally, i would of straight jammed pre vs aggro ppl who like to put me to a decision, but.... that's why ive joined this forum to get more info.. in these particular spots...
as played.. I'm in the jam camp.. given said read.
+1 to him actually waking up with a hand..

just open jamming pre. Where did you get your rough stat of 22%? If that's factual 4b/J is ok I guess - I don't hate flatting either in a soft field tbh even though it defies SPRisms

I got the 22% from my hud.

I guess both is +EV jamming more but if hes folding to 4bets then aren't we losing value here as we want to play against 22% of his range??

I did 4bet jam but just wondering if we lose value by doing this even though its the obvious play.

We're too deep to be open jamming preflop. Flatting the 3-bet just to raise his c-bet is dangerous because he could end up jamming the flop.

I think either way is fine - should be (re)jamming most flops though, and would expose you to v jamming flop

Maybe i need to balance more because over the hour 1/4 I 4bet jammed QQ,KQx2,AJ and AK and flatted with JTs, 33 and A8s- With a fold each time except AK, so am i losing value with these hands by 4 bet jamming maybe should balance some with flatting a 3bet to extract more value?

This meant i stayed on 20-30bb through the final two tables for that time period but i just felt i was losing value and should of maybe got more chips by playing risky instead of ABC.

You said he had been 3bing you a lot and you had decreased 30 BB so I'm sure some of that 22% is made up of 3 bets against stacks that if they 4b jammed he won't be priced in to call with the weaker part of their range. Makes me think that the weaker part of his 3b range vs a 20 bb stack isn't going to be as 3b range vs 25-30bb+ stack

I don't like flatting the 3bet PF, I prefer just 4betjamming. A flat-call may induce vill to jam into us OTF (as other have mentioned), and even if vill puts our a standard cbet vill will be getting a really good price if we try to jam over his standard cbet OTF.

I would jam this combo pre with this type of villain behind us. We have better hands to R/C and R/F with.
