Hi,

I've been playing $3.5 9max hypers on Stars for the past month after a bit of study.
Games players: 680
ROI: 11.8%

Is this enough of a sample size to show I'm a winning player and should start taking shots at the $7?

I've played a few games at the $7 level and the standard seems quite a bit tougher. I think my current strategy would be positive ROI although exploited at the $7 level by reg's who are paying attention.

What strategy adjustments would you suggest for moving to the $7 games?

All feedback welcome,
Thank you,
Happy New Year

I would mix in the 7's gradually until you're comfortable with them and then transition completely.

I'm surprised to hear that $7 9-man hypers are still running. Do you play at 1-2 tables at a time? How do you manage to play satisfactory volume there? (Maybe it's just me, I consider an SNG format dead if I can't 6-table it, lol.)

Is 11.8% your actual ROI or the adjusted ROI ('Game Currency Net Adjusted' winnings in PT4 or 'Luck Adjusted Winnings' in HM2 divided by the total buy-in; the adjustment is made for all-ins according to the ICM and allows to estimate the 'true' ROI preciser)?

Actually, even if your adjusted ROI is such, the sample size is a bit too small.

Anyway, it never hurts to improve your strategy first, so that the $7 regs can't exploit you hard.

I really doubt that anyone besides good $7 regs earns substantially more $ per hour at $7 hypers than at $3.50 ones, considering that some big-name SNG grinders (who were beating $60s-100s in 2015 when Supernova Elite rewards were still on offer) sit at low stakes down to $5-7 at offpeak hours when they lack the volume at their usual stakes...

Have you tried other SNG formats, Spin & Gos, MTTs, etc.?

HNY, crush it!

Playing the 3.5’s I can play 6-8 tables.
I haven’t tried much of the 7’s but it looks like during peak time you could get 4-6 tables.
Yep, 11.8 is my true ROI. However I appear to be running 1% over my luck adjusted ROI.
I’m awful at spin and go’s, think I would need to do a bit of study to become winning on them.
I think I will dabble is micro and low stakes MTT’s when I have the time to play!

HNY
