What's the difference between $0,50 and $1,50

I just moved from the $0,50 turbo SNG to the $1,50 on pokerstars and I had a ROI of 6-8% (depending on the number of tables I play from 16-30) on those $0,50. I am affraid to get crushed so I am asking for opinion about the skill level difference between these two buy in levels.
is the $1,50 really that much tougher, are the players really so much better?
Do you think I can beat the $1,50 if I regularly (6.000 sample) beat the 0,50 at 8%?

yes you should beat the 1.50s too, just play them and find out
