I have recently got back in to poker and I am playing 9man turbo SnG at the micro stakes
I have read a couple of books on the topic (moshmans) and by playing a TAG style I am regularly able to get down to the bubble or just ITM (3-4 players)
This is the stage I am struggling with. I am pretty comfortable when I am a short stack and I know my
Shoving and reshoving ranges!
My problem is playing a bigger stack perhaps 2/4 or 3/4 position wise.
Is there a general concensous or is it very dependant on the Oppo players??
Are there any further books I can read on just 3 or 4 handed play or perhaps a good YouTuber to watch??
Looking to get better and prepared to put the work in just not sure where to start!
9m turbo SnG are dead at mid/highstakes, the highest stake that sometimes runs is 15$ (at peak some 30s pop) and not even enough of those to really grind them. So if you want to make money at poker, they're not a good gametype to learn. Spins, Cash, HUSnG, MTT are good things to get into, those run. GL
Books are usually not your best way of improving (unless you're starting from scratch). Either pay for good content on a coaching site (however, not every site is good as well) or get someone to coach you. Many coaches overcharge though (IMO), so look to get a decent price-value. Don't pay someone $80\hr if they haven't gotten beyond microstakes. At the same time, don't look for highstakes content if you haven't got high level understanding of the theory yet.
I have invested a lot in these aspects over the years, so if you have any questions feel free to pm me
All depends on your current abilities.. Are you winning at poker yet or is it that you want to become a winner? If you are already winning, what games did you play?
Normally if you are already a SNG grinder who is profitable, having a coach is usually gonna be better value
