Talking Re: Table Selecting

This will help for those who aren't too sure who/how many regs you should avoid.

Here guys this was a thread by CJ Saunders showing how much playing with other Regs affect your roi. The spread sheet was caculated for the 16$ at Pstars. Just changed the numbers for your buy-in if you like.

Basically, it says for a 9 man:

Summary, for 9-seater SNGs
Cost of a good regular (12% ROI) -2.80%
Cost of an average regular (6% ROI) -1.80%
Cost of a barely winning player (2% ROI) -1.20%
Cost of break Even player -0.92%

Summary, for 6-seater SNGs
Cost of a good regular (12% ROI) -4.50%
Cost of an average regular (6% ROI) -2.80%
Cost of a barely winning player (2% ROI) -2.00%

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/36...ur-roi-411194/

You must substract those numbers from your "base" Roi. It's your Roi if you were only playing against losing/ break even players. Also remember the Rois of the players are based on their "based Roi" so be generous as well.

Just play around with the spreadsheet, it encourages me to table select =D and hopefully others too. So **** OFF my tables at Full Tilt please and stop regging over me. and I'll do the same!

You are one of the regs that I ALWAYS see regging fresh games, and as you said, it seems to not really help unless u are avoiding a specific one or two regs that are very very good. Oh also, if I see sippin_criss /Jay Weezey/Glitlr/Envision9, regging i just get up and go watch TV or walk my dog.

Re: Table Selecting

On a similar note, does anyone have any thoughts on how bad the $16/18 mans are in comparison? I would assume they wold be just SLIGHTLY better in terms of reg infestation.

Re: Table Selecting

pretty hard to table select 18s or any mttsng for that matter.

I have however revamped my playing schedule to reflect the time when games are less reg infested.

My results were just terrible last year and I think a lot of that had to do with playing at peak US times when the games are just terrible.

Re: Table Selecting

Im curious, can any of the "old" sttfers tell us how "hard" a 16$ game is nowadays compared to the party time. My guess is 16$ today is like 100+$ back then .

Re: Table Selecting

All you need to do is just check the lobby for the $16s. They're more reg infested than any other limit. Which is why I will always and forever stay at the $27s and only play 100 $16s a week just for botp.

in 06-07 or somewhere around there, i maintained a 12% roi 12-16 tabling with no hot keys, no hem and and quite frankly i sucked....

i considered people with roi's under 10% fish

Re: Table Selecting

still kind of surprised this thread survived +50 posts, here was good discussion, and imho there's no point trying to pursue ppl that dont even look at lobby's to game select, dont u just love to load games with lot of fish 5 min after 3-4 regs open their set at the exact same time ?

I'm baaaack.

I always try and load my games below everyone else but constantly get regged on top of. Earlier last year I would register out of games that were 4/9 but now I almost consider that a good game...
