Re: Table Selecting Discussion (Tread carefully)

Hey all, I just came up with this great idea!

Maybe there could be some program were they take people that are really good at SNG's and make them advocates for the players at the site! They could call them SuperStars or something! They could pay them a decent salary for their troubles and maybe forgive their rake!

The coolest part would be if they took rad pictures where they're all stone-faced and tough with black backgrounds and let them use their real names if they want to.

Then, these people could be our liaisons to management and good things could happen!

The only thing that would do is make the games more profitable for "Superstars" while the rest (largest majority) doesn't gain anything.
Once people get additional money such as more RB/salary they are not going to be very motivated to work hard for the others. There might be exceptions, but not likely.
Generally people are in this game for their own profitability.

I'm confident I could still get >8% ROI, but I never 20+-tabled, only 10-12.
Less tables? Pffft. I'm trying to get to 50.

So I do the above with all three of you. my red-line is still running at a 7-8% clip.. waiting for results to catch up

i think the higher games, i.e 30$ + are all raked too much, below that i'm not sure if a rake reduction would really help make the games better... would prob rather see an increase to 6vpp...

on a side note the home games is a great invention, should help the sites traffic...
Increasing rakeback is not the answer. Honestly, I'm beginning to wonder if you guys even understand what's happening.

hahaha!
Venetian if i understand you correctly about the "superstars", what you are trying to say is that they could be our voice and speak directly to their Employer (PokerStars) with our concerns and boomswitch requests??

Re: Table Selecting Discussion (Tread carefully)

Last thing for now -- I think we're giving Stars management way too much credit for knowing what's going on. They've changed nothing in these games for 4-5 years and they've never acknowledged that anything's changed in the ecosystem. They're clearly not paying any attention.

you're prob right i guess, rakeback benefits mass tablers the most so i guess rake reduction would prob invite more people into the games...

maybe they should do both lol...

I have a very high roi with a very high number of tables multitabled simultaneously. That's what this thread is about right?

Lol, I might steal that clip in the future. I don't really begrudge anyone who does those things - we're all involved in one massive prisoners dilemma of sorts whereby we each take actions that makes us a little more $$ while hurting other regs. - sometimes even to a group negative.

Even when someone is taking actions to hurt their own $$ (and that of other regs), it's not always black-and-white, and there's reasons other than $$ why people play the games they do. Certainly can be frustrating though, like the realities of many/most small businesses.
