There are no reverse implied odds here, unless I for some reason decide to call a giver shove if my 6 or 7 hits.

He has enough left to fold and you're priced in against all but the stingiest ranges. It seems like a good time for one of those "semi-bluff" plays the kids are all doing these days.

TAGs and people in general don't take the bet-3bet line if they intend on folding to a 4bet. I really don't think he's folding so that boils our options down to call or fold.

Seems like he's more a tight-passive donk with some random spastic bluff in him. Maybe he needs to "see where he's at." I guess I'd like to hear more about how much FE people think Devin has here.

Devin,
Just shove I mean there are spots where technically you should straight flush draws but **** it just go all in.

Yea, some very small percentage of the time he'll have a bigger flush draw. And some even smaller % of time that flush with hit. And then when it does, I have like 1/2 pot bet left. So, imo, RIO are very small.

there is a chance he will fold, so i like shoving. if you call there is a chance that he folds if a club hits. if he calls (which i expect he will) i believe your hand has decent equity vs. his range.

Hmm after giving it some thought, I do think some of your outs are tainted, but the RIO don't outweigh the direct pot odds + the 190ish left to bet.

Unless the trend on Party or this guy give you some reason to think that he is bet-3betting something other than sets, two pairs, and combo draws I think calling is way better than shoving. Shoving is probably still +EV with the dead money in the pot, but calling looks to be higher EV.

Standard showdowns.

These are some hands where I could use some help after getting check-raised on the flop by TAG players.

This hand he's not so taggy, but only 19 hands and 26/19, c-bet 90% himself.

jam/call/fold to turn bet

1) Jam or if his af is really high, rr all in on a non spade turn. Too many draws, pair, plus draw combos in his cold calling range.
2) Fold black Qs imo, well Qs is borderline, but you are getting very good pot odds and weaker pairs with hearts are in there along with the bare ace. All in.
3) Fold flop, what is he rr you with? KQ? if so then call flop and fold turn.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by 'his cold calling range'? Are you talking about his preflop range, or his 3-bet shove call range on the flop?

If he's calling with a lot of draws, I like shoving the flop. If he's not calling with a lot of draws, I like calling and hope he takes another shot at it and shove then.

When I'm opening a pot from the SB how much should it be for? I'm of course a huge "pot" donk in any other position. Also, should I be 3 betting slighly more than the bet pot button from the blinds?
STTF SNG -> Cash Thread #2 Quote
02-13-2008 , 02:56 AM
I usually open for 3.5x bb from any position. out side of the blinds it is pot...in the sb it is over pot, as pot is only 3bbs. I will usually bet more if I'm going to be oop in the hand. So, I typically 3-bet 3x their raise ip, and 4x oop.

Why are you building a bigger pot when OOP? Or is the bigger raise intended to end the hand quickly?
STTF SNG -> Cash Thread #2 Quote
02-13-2008 , 03:27 AM
I raise more OOP, cause I don't raise a lot out of position. So, if they want to play marginal hands against me b/c they have position, we are going to bloat the pot with my my better hands.

Yo is this too weak? Or standard?

Villain is a TAG with 6% 3bet and cbets 78%.

camill66 ($45.30)
lilltroll ($17.55)
Kahuun ($57.45)
Firetribe ($101.75)
Dani1ka ($84.45)

camill66 posts (SB) $0.25
lilltroll posts (BB) $0.50

Dealt to Firetribe Qc Qh
fold,
Firetribe raises to $1.75
Dani1ka raises to $7
fold, fold,
Firetribe call,

FLOP ($14.75) 2d Kc Js
check,
Dani1ka bets $10
Firetribe folds

Dani1ka wins $14.05

all in all, how should one treat QQ in 3bet pots when HEro is a PF caller (to the 3bet)?

hey guys.. when i sit dawn to play cash i play pretty aggressive, the problem is that seem like that at .25-.50 or .55-1 some players always go away after winning a few pots, so i can't built any image and i go pretty sick of this things. that happened to me 3 or 4 times, so maybe just a case?? or it is something to take in account when u sit at this small stakes?

Karp, that's why I don't flat QQ very often. It comes Axx Kxx like 50% of the time.

As played, I peel once on the flop and see how he reacts on the turn.

bill,

I keep betting until they tell me I'm beat in spots like this. Smallish though, like 1/2 to 2/3rds pot.

Bill,
Pot flop, turn is fine, I'd block river for like 10 as played.

Bill,
I think you should bet, but it would be for value as opposed to functioning as a blocking bet.
