Re: STTF SNG -> Cash Thread #2

looks fine. relative stacks don't change much on any street. I would put his range a bit tighter in my head based on stats, but not much. If he hit a set on the flop, its 99 only imo. The only hands that beat you in his range are AQcc+, MAYBE AJcc. I'd put his range at 99+ AQ+ and AK+. He's a bit of a station so even with the river lead you gotta put premiums as a big part of his range.

You seem to play too many suited connector type hands for FR.

That is not what either leakbuster or ptr stats show.. The latter being miles less important obv. To be honest i do not play hands like this preflop often, but still appreciate line check though.

Re: STTF SNG -> Cash Thread #2

i'm a bit of a spewtard postflop, so i usually don't play this hand pf. floating the flop is ok, but i'd probly just call the turn given the price. if you're gonna raise the turn you have to make it bigger.

Yep as played it looks fine. Also, there's probably a higher % of SC type hands that you have questions about since they don't always play as easily as a stronger range, so my opinion is probably skewed.

This seems like a pretty solid analysis to me, I was actually thinking it had to be either AKs or 99 most often with this river bet.
But villain had 22 btw, which kinda surprised me, but maybe he was putting me on AA/KK type hand, still think his river call is bluff catching basically, or even worse; he has notes on me being a spewy aggro donky..

Re: STTF SNG -> Cash Thread #2

I'd fold preflop always. 54s, I'd probably call...but 43s is too weak imo.

turn, I'd just call again. 20/9s don't double barrel fold very often. I wouldn't count on him having air often or being capable of folding an over pair here.

Re: STTF SNG -> Cash Thread #2

I'm not well aware of 6-max dynamics, so I'm prolly not qualified to respond here in the first place, as I'm not sure what villain's range could be to call a 3bet with OOP pf.
Also, what were hero's stats and what was his table image?

Hero is still ahead of AQ\KQ\AA\KK, but is crushed by TT/QQ/JJ/AK/QJ/QT.
I would assume AA/KK/QQ would've maybe 4bet pf.

Just feels as if you're getting value towned here more often than not.

I feel like this is a pretty trivial fold vs a straightforward passive nit like this guy seems to be from the description, especially since you can have AK so easily here and he can't ever expect you to fold it.

Hero image is laggish and he's playing very aggro. Nl1k winner said to call turn and fold if he shove but call if we hit flush.

Bones has it spot on. Having said that, this is the sort of flop that I see really good players make big bluffs at all the time. I've never had the courage to do it myself, but if you see a guy bluffing on a board like this it's a pretty important note to take. A guy with these stats is pretty much never bluffing this though.
