Should i use Nash in 9max HU Should i use Nash in 9max HU

Hello guys. I just started out playing the 9-max turbos on stars. When we reach headsup I often end up with 7-10 bb. My question here is if following nash is the best way to play or should I be a little tighter?

I ofc understand if villain shoves atc I should call a little wider and so on, my question is in general.

I wouldn't use Nash, no. It's a fine starting point but far from optimal.

Yeah it feels pretty inaccurate but everybody is talking about it being mathematically correct.

If you were only allowed to play push fold, then it is "correct". But as those are not the rules we can do better than just following nash.
In general, if I was just going to play push fold, I would shove a fair bit wider than nash and call tighter, because most players don't call or shove wide enough.
I know you're thinking "jeez he called me with Q2" but just because sometimes they call wide does not mean they call wide enough often enough.

It's a reasonable default. Deviate depending on the player. Nash is only optimal against players playing at Nash. If they're clearly not, you can adjust to exploit them.

What stakes do you play on pstars? If you have about 10bb's left I'm going to assume you are at least a 2-1 dog on chips or potentially less?

I typically rely on my reads with regards to how wide villains shove but the lower the stake the narrower I find the shoving range (unless they are a reg)
