I was not feeling too well after I got 4-bet here as I am not doing too well against his 4-betting range. We were approaching the bubble and my bounty was decently sized, so that should open his range up a bit here. I don't think calling here is the right play but I did end up pulling the trigger in the end.

I think villains range here is 55+, KJs+, KQo, ATs+, AJo+. We are 51% equity against this range but I think it might be a bit too loose. What do you guys think?

I don't think 3b/f is an option with this stack size - I think 3b/c is OK - flat also OK if V is not too agg post flop.

It's very easy fold now. Unless the guy is absolute maniac he's not 4 bet jamming pocket 5s here. Your ranges seem way off. I would range him at 88+ AQ off + and your not doing great against that.

I feel like my range was pretty wide and was a bit off. But I feel yours is a bit too tight, I had a decently sized bounties, top 10 at the time. And it should be a bit wider cause he would want to apply pressure because it was nearing the bubble stages.

Although you shouldn't be 3b deep in a tourney without a solid plan on how to react if vil , calls,4b or shoves.

I'm having a hard time seeing how you can describe their 4-bet range as the top 9.95% of hands when their 3-bet range is only 2%. I think Colin_Piddle had a much more accurate description of their likely range than you're giving them credit for.

Sure, villain happened to have 88 here, but given the stats, I'm really struggling to understand what you saw in this game that would lead you to believe their 4-betting range is so wide. I will say that this is a small sample size, but it's the only sample size we have. What did you see to make you think the villain has even half of the hands you ranged them on?

Given that you're approaching the bubble and I firmly believe the villain's range is much narrower than the top 9.95% of hands, this spot isn't that great. I think this is a fold.

In a bounty tourney the big stack is more incentivized to play looser so I don't even mind ripping the 99 for value especially if you have a more than average bounty like you mentioned and not deal with this 3bet/4bet nonsense with such a shallow stack.

Btw, I'm not a big fan of the 3bet with 99 with these stack sizes. You're giving him way too good odds with your bounty on the line vs hands that you may rather have wanted a fold with a shove (like KT/QJ/JT and even hands like Ax). You're also gonna still get called by worse if you shove.

I agree with this and with the earlier statement that with less than 30bb you really need to know how you'll play these situations before acting. You should never 3b and then get stuck and not know what to do.

Villain is laggy but what are his positional stats? You have 123 hands so there should be some info there.
