Has anyone tried RYE? What did you think of it? Was it worth the money?

I'm currently multitabling 5 € hypers with like a 5 % ROI, would the videos be good for my game? I would really like to improve and don't know where else to go.

There seems to be a shortage of SNG videos/coaching sites compared to other game formats. When I asked a very experienced player what he would recommend today, he said he doesn't really know and suggested I look at SNG Grinders. No idea if the videos are relevant today and perhaps you've already tried that site, but that's the only information I've got.

First time hearing about Raise Your Edge. Wouldn't really be interested if I stumbled upon the site myself, but that's my biased opinion. I don't really like the typical emphatic marketing approach:

Forget Sit and Go Poker about all that low quality Sit and Go Poker content that is out there. You are probably getting overwhelmed by all that content. Forget about that bull**** many coaches want to teach you. We have everything you need in 7 courses! What makes our courses the best? Usually many pokerschools offer packages which include preponderant random live plays. Etc.

Since their homepage is in German (with a pretty poor English translation ... again, this is bias, but if you're running a serious international business, at least pay for a proper translation), I'd say your best bet is to ask in the German forum if any regs know or use the site. Other than that there's been a post recently about coaching in the STT forum and there were a couple of offers made there. In any case if you're beating those stakes and are aiming higher (and are serious about poker) then I think your best choice is probably finding a good coach on these forums.

Twitch is a good place to watch Pros Play Hypers

I would recommend Tonkaaa on Twitch. https://www.twitch.tv/tonkaaaap
He plays alot of MTT but also alot of Hyper Turbos. He also has some videos on youtube of hyper sit and gos with really good strategy.

I switched to grinding hypers (due to my schedule and lack of time to play) a couple of months ago and have since played 1000 tourneys with a 11.2% ROI so don't listen to people who say there isn't a good edge in Hypers.

I've never actually watched tonka stream but I watch the highlights on youtube and yes, it would probably help a lot.

It always amazes me though how people can actually capitalize on an edge so small (I mean he is happy if there is one recreational player per SNG) in a field where everyone is very good. It boggles the mind really ... He casually says "let's fire up some 5ks and 1ks" while playing MTTs. And he has said his biggest edge comes from short-handed short-stacked play. If I remember correctly he said something like "I've literally spent hundreds or thousands of hours studying these short-handed spots".

And I'm trying to beat games with 3+ semi-sane players and the rest pretty much maniacs.

I find alot of value from bubble play in these hyper turbos because alot of players do not considering ICM spots. I can't tell you how many times i have had 2-3 Big Blinds and the two other stacks go all in with marginal hands and i get to min cash. Its crazy but it happens pretty often.

Yeah, I love Tonkaaa. his hyper videos on youtube are gold, in my opinion!

Well u're either playing microstakes or sunrunning, most likely both
Not hard to find out how for how much roi a pool of regs beats certain limits, see sharkscope e.g.
Pretty sure there is no current non-micro (not sure if possible in micros, but guess they have higher rake as well so this seems quite impossible) hyper format in the market where 11% roi is even close to sustainable, even for the best.

I just started playing 3,50€ hypers and I think 10-15% is realistic for regs.
Most Value comes from bubble spots because nobody in the micros know to play them properly.

Back to topic: I now have the content of the basic course from RYE and will give some feedback when reviewed

I just checked the first 5 ppl in sharkscope leaderboard profits 2-5$. Their average ROI are: 2.4 ; 3.5 ; 2.7 ; 3.8 ; 3.3.

So either you are incredibly much better than the best unblocked regs, or there is some other explanation for your ROI. I leave it to you to figure out what's more likely
What probably helps is putting your sample and roi into a free program like SwongSim(it's good, contact user "Max Cut" for it) and do some calcs on variance.

Didnt say I beat those ROI numbers, that was the feeling I got after playing some of them games Don't have a decent sample size yet

i agree 100 percent with the bubble edge comment. I don't know how many times i see 2nd Stack call 1st Stack Shove with Ace X when third stack has 2-3 BBs, Its nuts and a range i wouldn't call without QQ+ due to ICM.

In the games I play there's always 4 or 5 recr player and 1 reg (me) or 2. I'm running at 23% ROI. Hard to believe it will have to fall under 10% because even when I reach the bubble as the shortest stack these guys are just so tight that I still have a huge chance at cashing and when 1st or 2nd its just easy to bully them around and reach the heads up as massive chip leader. I FEEL like at <7$ limits it SHOULD be possible to sustain at least something like 8-10%, but then again you can run so awful in these.

he might be a super good player. But his content is garbage, he is only moneyprinting of idiots with his coaching site. His forum is totaly rigged too, he deletes everything questioning the value of his content. i got his hyper course few years back and it was super basic liertally nothing i could have used for a ****load of money. And im just a midstackes barley winning player.

Guys, by now people should have relevant experience with RYE - anyone able to comment on the quality and especially if it's worth the high price? People in the Discord group seem to be content with the quality.

Well, I for one really would like to know since I'm thinking about joining. I'm a beginner and don't know if it's worth to shell out the 600 bucks. On the other hand if it's good, it might be worth it. Don't want to learn stuff that I have to unlearn later.
