I was tweaking my hand ranges for 9man sng.

EP raise range is 2.7% EP call range is about 3.8% MP raise range is about 5% and call range is 6% Lp raise range is 10% and btn range is 18%
SB range is same as MP
BB range is same as btn

questions:
1. where can I add in a connector range?
The range for connectors is JT-76

2. For KQ I am unsure what to do with this hand in MP and
In EP I can just fold, but unsure what to do for MP for whether to call or raise...

I don't play 9mans but is it really profitable to just fold everything in these games today? Add pp, aces and Broadway's into your range before you start worrying about connectors. Also, your openraise range should be wider than your calling range.

Your late position opening range should be more determined by the tendencies of the blinds to defend. I'd suggest 3betting more from the sb, and defending much wider from bb dependent on price to call.

well I'm just trying to see what works for me.

I just notice a few common scenarios where I get coinflipped when UTG with AKs/KK and then you get called with A6 and then he flops an A.

playing AJ UTG usually leaves you dominated.

As far as ranges.
EP raise range at 2.7% That's the top PP and AK
the call range only consists of TT/99/AQs ~ 1.7

only because those I am bit unsure about raising with those EP.

MP raise range is 5.6% That's PP from 88+
the call range becomes ~1.2% which is just AJ I am unsure about whether to use KQs/KQo/ATs/ATo/A9s/A8s here and whether this should be raise or call.

LP raise range is 10.7% thats pp from 66+

now this isn't exactly perfect or since I may just call with lower pocket pairs if I end up spiking a set.

interesting idea 3betting from SB. I suppose I also need to read up on BB defense.

Hey, kysg ,

1. where can I add in a connector range? In my opinion open your raise range in gap or iso-raise in the late position will increase your capacity of blind steal and they play well at post-flop in small ball. Another important point is related to your image in the table. Playing to tight may will reduce your profitability with premium made hands.

I agree with monkeyheaven about your opening range should be wider than calling range.

2. For KQ I am unsure what to do with this hand in MP and --- I think KQ is a excellent blocker for your opponents range when you open raise with it.

Well at this point...
would I need to have a set of ranges for mid-blind play if I am past 10BB?

I have a push-fold chart for under 10BB at mid-blind when the table drops to 7 after that I usually just play looser and blind-steal to get to the bubble.

I still haven't came up with a blind-steal range.

KK/AK v A6 isn't a coinflip, coin flipping is getting all in pre flop with around 50% equity.
Talking about getting KK in v A6 and losing belongs in the BBV section as it ISN'T strategy.
