Yeah I can confirm this strategy, but with beer, works some of the time and goes horribly wrong other times.

Also my HEM doesn't think I've played in any tournaments. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Re: Official STT BBV Thread imo (beat: sngs)

i'm throwing this out there as worst graph ever

totally unfiltered graph, every tourney i've played since jan 1st 2009, half ongame half stars.

I'm not sure why the axis points don't work, but it's:

- 5658 tournaments
- approx 270 buyins below all-in luck

before i just assumed the site was rigged but now as i've switched sites and nothing has changed i am forced to come to the horrible but neccessary conclusion that (a) god exists, and (b) he's pretty pissed i've spent the last quarter of a century not believing in him.

Re: Official STT BBV Thread imo (beat: sngs)

Lastnight I ran a couple K above expectation in addition to the red line being a few k above zero in the first place. I am new with the HEM graph feature, and felt it was a miracle as this is the FIRST time this has happened (lol samplesize of < 1k gms to be extra sure) This made me happy and enthusiastic once more about poker and I spent a few hours with HEM and analyzing tons of different crapoloa. I probably spent 5 hours in total and completely overhauled my notes on ftp, changing what all of the colors meant because my old system wasnt making full use of the spectrum , and in this day and age its no longer about how they are fish, its about how they are regs (lol at only having two colors for regs/profitable players before!)

I was super enthusiastic after this, not only because of the motivation it was going to give me to start grinding again, but because the masters were on tv and it is definitely up there for my top sporting event of the year. I thought that coverage began in early morning, so I woke up! Oops , 'live from the masters' is just a crappy show with TGC anchors. No disrespect to kelly who I love. I decided to take a nap and wake up at 4 to watch. GG on that gameplan when 8:30 rolls around and I roll out of bed.

No problem, I caught the masters highlights on tv and enjoyed every second of it. I called my baby sister, who turns 16 tomorrow, and discussed her travel plans for the raps game we're going to with my Dad (the first he's ever been to.)

I then had a really long convo with a friend I dont get the chance to connect with that often, and was feeling good. An mtt was just about to start, and I fired it up because I find being in an mtt it keeps me opening new sngs. At the same time, the buttraper rng also clocked in for a night at the tables, but I was actually taking pride in my ability to deal with the harsh 3 and 2 outers at key spots for all the chips, often against guys who had doubled off a fish the first hand when I had done the same!

I should squish this habit of checking HEM graphs mid-session before it starts, but I was a gross 4k below my 'analyzed' 1k profit line after 41 games. Wow, an incredible $100 per game that I was screwed out of, maybe it would have been money better spent to get a $4k polar bear fur rug , order indian food, and take a giant **** all over it.

Late in the mtt, with maybe 30 left, a shorty shoved the btn for like 4 bb, I jamsauced the sb for like 20 (and a top 5 stack, it was a turbo) with ATs, and i see what you did there - you gave the big blind pocket jacktaculars!! Hey, lets flop a flush draw and hit da bricks just for fun.

I think it could have been a much better performance by the rng if I turned the ace and he rivered the non club king, but at least this beat left room for improvement!

This left me with a one big blind stack on the button, where I got it in with like KQ and sextupled up vs a dominated hand in a pot that was multiway to the flop. I eventually continued to not lose on a miracle run that took me to the final table with a healthy enough stack. Earlyish I got it pf 3 ways with two bigger stacks, I was ahead with ace high and somehow still had the best hand at the river.

I busted in 7th, I dont remember if it was with the worse hand or not - but it was for such a small amount that I should probably have busted way back when I had a big blind, because I continued to take it up the poop chute in sngs.

I remember two sick runner runner beats in particular, one of them reminiscent of my above thoughts tempting the rng. It was something like on the bubble when utg had mucked with 1.5bb or something where the sb+bb are going to wipe him out. It was folded to me in the SB with A3dd which I obv instajammed into a reg who snapped KQo!! The board was a sexy A3Xd , turn Kd ..... wait for it: black king. It might as well have been a black **** up my ass

This was a $200 sng and while I was already stuck twenty times that on the night, I decided to raise the stakes (and my mouse into the air) and tomahawked my mouse into the bottom right hand corner of my laptop. I almost never smash things or yell. If I do, I guess I have a real problem because I never notice it. I was sitting on a couch, where I would have saved myself the hand pain, likely saved myself a broken mouse, and certainly still have a functioning laptop.

I took a moment or two to realize just how double pissed off I was, and walked downstairs to login on my desktop. With the descent of each step my steam factor inched higher. Briefly I contemplated saying **** IT, but I was in 5 tournaments with porbably 1k+ in 'equity' given my 'edge' in the games. I busted a couple 6/9 and 6/9 and then another one I had registered for had started just before I busted a third 6/9. I was steaming so hard at this point I considered not playing it and just blinding off, but I stuck it out and finished fourth like 20 minutes after my other tables had already busted OOTM.

Would post a graph or HH, but of course they are on the now deceased laptop, just scoped and my distro was 6/8/9/19

Writing about it helps

seeing this is bbv... now move up to the $1ks?

also, i think you should stay at $10+$1. keep 100buyins. move up at like 80-100 for next one.

Not sure how it was eventually resolved but I am sure there were no winners.
It was resolved by the BBV people grinding small stakes and the SNG people going ROOOBUSTO!
