Does anyone else think that auto-game selecting software should be banned?

I.e., I make up a drooler list from my own hands and notes, and if any drooler sits "x" game at "c - d" stakes, then that software will insta-sit me in the game (if I'm not at my table limit, etc.).

I'm just imagining 10 regs using similar programs at the same time and the hilarity (i.e. destruction of ecosystem) that could wreak.

I realize Stars wouldn't be able to detect every program, but you'd have a pretty good idea pretty quickly that someone was using one, even if the timing were randomized/spread out/X% of droolers were passed up.

I can see the potential for this to be problematic at some point in the future but i think we are far from that point atm. If things did go down that path and it was detrimental for the games then banning should be on the cards. But for now i think there is no need for a ban.

My first thought was: no, it should be mandatory! as in do not sit this game if there are more than x% regs...

Guys in 18 man when there are 63 people left in the first table the seats seems like Seat Empty. Is there any way when a player eliminated his seat to be dissapeared?

Anything that makes a decision for you in real time should be banned.

For example, I am fine with software that registers you in 100% of games. I am not okay with software that reads the player list and decides whether or not to register you.

I assume you mean 6 people left. If you take away an empty seat it becomes more difficult to tell if you are at a final table or not when multi-tabling.

Hm.. i prefer two empty seats on 18man. I have to click so many times on Table ninja to register in tournaments. Grrrr

Some of you might know me from the Ring Game threads here on 2p2, and though I will still be part of PokerStars’ Ring Game team, from today I am also responsible for everything that has to do with Sit & Go Tournaments.

Hopefully it will not take too long for me to get up to speed, but as a start I have gone through the threads and will in the following reply to the main issues that have been brought up since the last time we posted here.

So without delaying further, here are the comments on the issues that have been brought to our attention. I welcome your feedback on this and other issues, and I look forward to working with all of you in the time to come.

We will likely make a decision about higher stakes hypers prior to November 1st. We want to be careful not to split liquidity too much prior to the launch of FTP which may also harm liquidity, but we are also expecting a seasonal increase in traffic. There are a lot of factors to weigh here.

This is clearly the most pressing decision to be made about the offering. I will review and let you know when a decision has been made.

This is a reasonable suggestion for improvement that is under consideration for future development. There are a lot of development items across many departments in the company that compete for development resources. I don’t expect the I’m Ready button to be complete this year and don’t have a timeframe for when it might be done.

We aren’t likely to do anything on this in 2012, but it’s quite possible that BoTP will be gone in 2013 and replaced with promotions that run occasionally rather than constantly. When a final decision is made we’ll announce it.

We do recognize that there is room for improvement in our filtering functionality, and not just for SNG. I don’t have a timeframe for when this will be done nor can I hint at specific changes, but if you want to offer specific suggestions here I can make sure they are taken into account.

We are not likely to add a regular speed tab; the tabs are quite squished as it is. Is it a common preference of players to remove Hypers from the Turbo tab for their own use, or is this a desire to alter the registration patterns of other players? We would expect that most players reading this thread would use filters to select by speed if they so desire.

I don’t plan to discuss rake in this thread.

I now play hypers and don't mind the extra attention given to hypers, but to me it's strange that hypers show up in both the Turbo tab and the Hyper tab. I would think someone clicking on Turbo would like to play a turbo SNG, similarly to when someone clicks on Hyper they would like to play a hyper SNG.

Adding the Turbo/Hyper sub-tab was good (though as Simplicity said the Turbo one doesn't work right now ) - it would be awesome for recreational players to have a another line of sub-tabs below the existing one so they could easily navigate to the games they want with one click.

If you go to an unfiltered lobby and click on the "Low" tab, for example, it's still brain-hurting chaos.

Holdem/Omaha/Mixed/Other Games/6-man/9-man/Knockout/Fifty50, etc. could help that cause.

And +million on $15 9-max and hopefully $60!!

sng lobbies are lagging 3 time again this week, every time in peak hours fix ur servers please

Hi Baard. Just adding support for more buyin levels of 9m hypers. 30s go off regularly and even a half dozen 100s pop during the day. Adding a 15 level will make it easier for 7 regs to move up to the 30s. Not as important, but i think a 60 level would get ok traffic and help the 100s as well.

-I don't grind 9man hypers but they def need $15 9m hypers added. Also, if you didn't want to straight add $60 9m hypers, my suggestion would be to take away $100 9m hypers and replace them with $60 9m hypers until you thought there was traffic to support $100s

-Don't add higher BI 6m cash hypers, if you do, no higher than $300s

-Server update/do something, the lobby does lag like Mecastyles said

+1 to removing 100s and adding 60s for 9m hypers. But leave them if you arent adding anything please.

wowowow PS sng lobby unreal laggy today, and its a random monday after WCOOP, wtfff

at one point literally every 6m cash hyper from $60-200 was already full/running yet it was showing between 1of6 to 5of6 registered in the lobby....ALL 12 lobbies. that's pretty disgusting

Yeah, there was a moment where even the auto reg for next game stopped working after I gave up table selecting. And now stopped playing . Fix please Stars. Can't be massive railing of the ME there's like 115 left.

Could you comment why PS cannot discuss this in THIS (or the mttsng) thread where people ask questions about it? it is NOT addressed in the MTT thread (maybe because there are few questions on it there) it is clearly close to the heart of players here and mttsng... can we open an official steps&sattelites thread if you do not want to discuss it in the threads where there are acctuall comments on them?

no mtt reg is interested in steps more or less, almost every sng player will play them if they are better structured then now, really dont underestand why this falls under mtts just because the target tournament is an live mtt/online mtt/T$

As Quads said, its not my internet, happening to people in mexico, canada, all over europe, australia etc.

And my internet here might be faster than yours, dl speed off speedtest.net is 14.25 mbps, only had 12.50 when I lived in the US
