I can't imagine there being an accurate way to measure this when there are outside variables (hypers, spain leaving, etc.) influencing any significant sample of data.

i think what we do know is that PS thinks they make more money now... otherwise they would have "listened to the players" and went back to the old structure...

Epitome, you would not need to calculate the revenue to draw conclusions, so just politely enquire the difference in traffic of the $16 and $15 games (good cop, bad cop)

As for pokerstars making more money these days...they're compensating for Black Friday, looking at long-term objectives and making smart decisions. I think their tactic of alienating
from poker a little and focusing on their machine has worked well for years, but that
disconnection is hurting both parties a bit right now. We can't draw any conclusions
about the future of the games unless they are transparent with their intentions for the games, they can't tell us why and how they make their money as that is in breach
of their main corporate policy.
So they can't get direct insight from their players on why certain things should be changed (and for them, that information is valuable, even if it is not information
with a corporate motive, it can be compensated as such)

I think they can compromise more and gain more, but it's just guesswork...they
know if its in their own interests and how grand they are
I am sure many players feel like me, that for this thread it was a great surprise
to have a feedback process to players, but it has been anything but that,
i'd rather our input be even more limited but our operation on that input to be
impartial to the interests of pokerstars and its players.

All for higher hypers, but i think this is too big a leap for the time being. 200s are super popular though so i think 300s are the logical next step - this willl open up the jupiter BOP league to hypers and not change things too dramatically since its only a 50% increase in stakes, and will be a win-win, since it will basically mean that more games go off for stars and for the regs.

A selection of satellite hypers has been modified to begin 15 seconds after each one fills. We'll be monitoring these and considering expanding the usage of this setting in the future.
