Sweet, glad to hear this.

I personally prefer the old structure as it made my hourly higher, but I've shown a lot of support itt to the new structure as I know they're going to be best for me in the longrun in terms of WR.

I obviously am playing both the new and old format because I don't have enough tables at the $5s-36.50s loading every game

Can't wait for the HEM HUD to work!

New format is a huge improvement imo. It's definitely a good compromise between what I wanted which was the 20bb tables and the old format. I have no complaints if they keep this format.

If you need tables that bad, there's always Stars.

How did it make your hourly higher? You havent played the new ones enough to know. Unless you just assume the same strait up shove monkey style of BE play?

Its hard to tell for sure but it is actually likely to be true. If the old games were shorter and the ROI percentage were the same it would be true. Simple mathematics and nothing to do with experience.

This is awesome, love it!

Can we get $1 and $2 ST's with the new structure?

This structure would be sick for HU's too.. JUST SAYING MERGE. Make it uniform across all stakes!

Re: *****Official Merge Super Turbo Structure/Payout Change Poll*****

Why would the ROI percentage remain the same? It's surely expected to increase with the new structure. The only argument is whether the increase is enough to offset the extra game length. And then there's the reduced variance argument.

I am not saying they will be the same, just making a valid argument for why the post about hourly being reduced could be accurate.

Actually it is not guaranteed that the new structure is more profitable. 70/30 is likely to actually favor winning players since they get more 1sts than 2nd place finishes.

However other factors such as bubble and HU skill are magnified in the new structure and likely to increase ROI%.

In the end I am not sure it is easy to say which format is clearly easier to get a high ROI in. But I do think the new structure would be preferable even if ROI were slightly lower due to the reduced swongs.

Because he was able to get in 140 games an hour. At the very worst he is a BE player, but in reality is a small winner, and thus it doesnt really matter what happens on the table for him, at 140 games an hour, he is going to crush hourly.

However argument about this, especially in this thread is a bit silly, as he is one of the biggest supporters of the new structure. I just don't expect him to give up playing the old structure while it is offered, especially right now given his current situation. He plays these games for a living and needs to make money right now.

I think we can make a sound conclusion based on historical ROIs at the FTP games versus the ROIs at the existing Merge games. As I understand it, there was a higher proportion of players with positive ROIs under the FTP structure.

Merge doesn't have 9 max supers. The rake in the 6 max is very competitive with stars though and a basic 35% RB plan is better than base super nova on Stars if my math serves me correctly.

$1.00 + .06 = 6.00%
$2.00 + .12 = 6.00%
$5.00 + .30 = 6.00%
$10.00 + .50 = 5.00%
$20.00 + .90 = 4.50%
$35.00 + 1.50 = 4.29%
$50.00 + 2.00 = 4.00%
$100.00 + 3.70 = 3.70% and a little lower higher but no real volume to be had.
