Re: *****Official Merge Super Turbo Structure/Payout Change Poll*****

Is Merge going to be adding the new structure added for the $1 and $2 games? It probably give a better indication if they included all buy in levels.

I would really hope so. I have no idea why they haven't already.

I'm still waiting for my contact to hear back from the merge people directly to get all of this figured out. As of now I haven't heard back as to why the old structure is there, why the lower games aren't included, why the 35s have 3 structures, and if and when they plan on rolling it out fully.

I will surely update this thread as soon as I hear!

Thanks forthe reply guys. Hopefully Merge can see how much more sense running only the new structure for all levels would make.

New structure is certainly better than the old one. Not quite sure why Merge seems so set on 10BB starting stacks but at least the 10 to 5BB change is much better.

Hope that they keep this structure and just stick to one. Really hard to play with outdated materials and no hud.

To be fair that is what we asked for. I know there are some players that would like deeper, but a pretty big majority prefer the one we just got(The Full Tilt Poker Super Turbo Structure). I personally think it is a pretty good compromise for all parties. But I'm biased

Agree for sure here, the FTP ST structure was/is simply the nuts.

I've played 15k+ games on all 3 formats (ftp, merge, new PS 25bb starting structure) and my favorite without a doubt is the ftp structure, doesn't start so deep that your avg game time goes up a ton (and therefore lowers your hourly), but also isn't so quick that you don't have an edge in the games; I think it's perfect, but I'm also a tad biased

Don't get me wrong. I certainly like it and hope they stick with it.

Right now a lot more of the old ones are registering than the new ones. Would be nice to get everyone in one format again.

It's a new listing, it's the weekend, it's the end of the month, HUDs don't work yet, etc. I hope Merge does not misinterpret the numbers.

This post could easily be interpreted by Merge as a reason to dump the new structure and only offer the old one exclusviely. If that is not something you would like to see, I would try to be a bit more conscious of your wording considering it seems they could take it away at any moment.

Yea, weekends have historically (last few months anyway) been slow. End of the month has been very slow unless a few regs are battling for spots on the LB. Most peoples spots are locked up and everyone kind of takes it easy in anticipation for a hard grind to start the next month.

Huds not working is probably the biggest issue. I grinded over a hundred of the new games, mostly at high stakes, but I'm not going to grind properly until this stuff is situated. I know for a fact a ton of other grinders feel the same way.

The feedback has obviously been immensely positive, with pretty much no negative feedback. There are 2 votes ITT for the old merge structure, and one of them immediately rescinded his vote after playing one and loves the new structure. The feedback has been immensely positive in the chat box as well. I see no reason not to just pull the trigger on this and allow everyone to get back on the grind.

Superturbo volume has been dismal the last few months. This is likely merges best shot at rekindling that old (jdawg days) glory. Despite doing the right thing for themselves and their players by changing the structure, they are almost making it worse by offering multiple ones, and blocking people from using a hud in the new ones. I mean the 35s have 3 different structures available. It is absurd.

Merge I understand you guys are gunshy about a change because the backlash you received last time. But nearly everyone who backlashed last time is supporting you 100% this time. Last time the chat box was blowing up with hate for the structure. Now I'm seeing random players telling other players to email their merge skin and tell them how much they want to keep it. You will not receive the backlash you got last time, I can assure you. But you are costing yourselves and your players money by continuing down this route of multiple structures and no hud.

Lets make a move and finish this great transition off!

Thank you!

This. (And the rest of it, too!) I personally know a couple former FTP grinders that are still in wait-and-see mode before committing to a return. They don't want to go through the hassle of putting on a roll and getting everything setup just to have the rug pulled out or have to player pool split too thin.
