I think stars are making these cause bad players dont go broke as fast so more rake for them. Especially since theres a 10% rake as opposed to cake which only has a 8%

Re: "Double or Nothing" SNGs - Best strategy?

on ipoker, the rakeback is between 8and 10% (10% for the low stakes) and it's turbo sng (blind increase every 4minutes)...

I really look after a good strategy

edit: and there is 6handed and 10handed sng

Decided to give a set of $2's a try and find out how easy they are.

Played a set of 9 tables, finished ITM 9 tables. I'd guess that they are pretty soft.

Lol I played a set of 4 of the 2$'s and ITM'd 100%.

These things are so easy, anyone play the 11's yet? They soft?

Re: "Double or Nothing" SNGs - Best strategy?

nice to know that stars has included PLO in the double or nothing, now i have the choice to play double or nothing for other games besides just holdem.

on a side note, i also noticed single draw2-7 sngs today. they might have started those the other day, but i hadnt noticed since ive been playing on cake instead lately.

whats really nice about playing on stars though, it would make multitabling a lot easier than cake. too bad the rakes higher and no rakeback.

These tournaments look unbeatable at the higher ($50-$100 levels). paying out the top 4 in a normal format would be better than this, imo.

I don't like these, i feel like a donk that would have normally played a 114 9 man turbo might choose to play these instead and their not worth it for a high limit sng player to play. Also, not really sure what your talkin bout dcj311, by lookin at the lineups they certainly look beatable, just not worth playing.

Why are they not worth playing? From results so far it seems like a much higher ITM could be sustained in these.

Uhmm? Of course you get ITM more often when 50%
of the table get ITM. Doesn't mean you'll get a good
ROI, though.

They're not that easy. Don't listen to anyone. You'll end up with full tables still at shove time.
