Re: ****Official Beginner/Basic Question Thread****

Hey guys, super quick question and hoping to get help tips and advice on this hand I played during a freeroll, keep in mind I am a newer player

pokerschool freeroll
9handed blinds 40/80
sitting in bb
UTG raises to 160,
folds all the way around to sb
he calls, I call aswell.
flop comes 326s (pot is 480)
I bet 2/3 pot (319)
preflop folds, sb calls (pot is 1118)
turn comes Qd, sb thinks for awhile, jams all in (3421)
I think for quite a while, (I only had 731 behind)
my thought process was that I had outs for the flush draw and of course it was possible for him to have Ks/As given he flatted preflop
or even a set from limping a pocket pair
I end up calling, the turn comes and its 7d and he shows 8s9d

In reality, was this a really just a bad call I got lucky on? In which spots could I have played better and what should my thought process be throughout this hand?

I'd like to track my results in SNG's. Can anyone recommend a spreadsheet that includes graphs? Thank you.

Rili98 I'm a beginner as well but I'm pretty sure you just got lucky. Q4o is pretty much a trash hand and you shouldn't be calling. You will be out of position with a bad hand. What do you expect to flop? In SNGs you shouldn't get involved with bad hands when the blinds are low.

If you are interested in SNGs I suggest reading Collin Moshman's book on SNGs. It has helped me a lot.

Apparently there is also a fold button. I just learned this today.

What would a numeric answer to that question help you?
They're a beatable game type, if and to which extent u can beat them solely depends on your play no one here knows anything about.

The new reward program in PokerStars (Chests) is very bad, I'm starting to put volume into micro 6-max hypers and I think it's probably gonna hurt me in the long run.
What other sites are good for 6-max hypers?
