Re: ****Official Beginner/Basic Question Thread****

Quick question about SNGWiz, I am planning on installing the trial later (and purchasing it after the trial If I like it). My question is, is it easy to have multiple sit and gos running while using it? I usually play 8 at a time (2 monitors) Will it analyse all 8 effectively or will it be confusing to use with so many? Thanks all.

SNG Wiz is not a program to use in real time (while playing) but to analyze your play afterwards. In fact it doesnt start as long as you have your poker client open.

Ahh I see, thanks for that! Can you point me towards a good program to use while playing that analyses your opponents?

np, have a look at Pokertracker 3 or Holdem Manager (1) if you want real time stats on your opponents. However have a look at SNG Wiz or another ICM program too imo.

Re: ****Official Beginner/Basic Question Thread****

looking for advice/comparison for pokersites to play SNGs on

stars has the highest traffic but i dont want to join the vip-grind-mode
party = vip-grind-mode = no
ipoker has high rake; also high RB; evens out => but almost no traffic for non-don
merge allows US = no
ongame = essence feels like a reg-moneygrab

its kinda stupid, it seems like i can only use SNGs to build a bankroll at 3-10$ games, as traffic is only possible on stars which i dont want to play on. when BR is build switch to cash?

Re: ****Official Beginner/Basic Question Thread****

Stars has some of the lowest effective rb so i dont think youd be joining the vip grind mode as you said. You should be able to achieve pretty decent pr rb rois there. How many tables do you play at once? If its more than say 12 i think stars is gonna offer you the best hourly by far. I think party low stakes sngs are pretty beatable but once you get up to 22+ i hear theyre pretty tough. I think bodog has super soft games but i think 4 table max, no rakeback and the way theyve served the US with poker and sportsbook for so long makes me think your money might not be safe there.

The HUsngs are merge are super soft. You could have a 20+ hourly grinding the $16 HUSTs with a minimal amount of study.

I honestly dont know why youd want to play anywhere else. I just moved to mexico to grind on stars.

I don't really see enough options to select a specific site etc. I bought 200 searches....do I need to subscribe to other packages.....or am I simply too dumb and it can be done for free?

They dont have individual site lbs afaik.

Im kinda bad with this but ill give it a go.

depends on the bbs overcalling range. So youre called 20% of the time from just sb, and the other 80% of the time youre called 20% of the time by bb so 16% more of the time. So just from individual calls thats 36% of the time. So if the bb is overcalling with like 7% of hands thats 43% of the time.

Thats just rough because card removal will change things, like if the sb folds it means he didnt have a premium hand so its more likely bb will etc.

Your ROI is going to be a big factor in propensity to go bust. Sticking with the 100 bi rule should be reasonable, but many prefer 150+ nowadays as a safer/conservative approach.

Other factors like setting stop losses, ability to reload, game selection etc... are going to play a role here. gl.

Re: ****Official Beginner/Basic Question Thread****

Hi,

Got into an argument with a friend of mine about this hand. I don't even play these games, but our opinions were completely different.

Anyway, here's the hand:

Poker Stars $2.56+$0.64+$0.30 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t150/t300 Blinds + t25 - 4 players
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

BTN: t5247 M = 9.54
Hero (SB): t1077 M = 1.96
BB: t6779 M = 12.33
CO: t397 M = 0.72

Pre Flop: (t550) Hero is SB with 9 A
CO raises to t372 all in, 1 fold, Hero raises to t1052 all in, BB calls t752

Flop: (t2576) 5 K 8 (3 players - 2 are all in)

Turn: (t2576) T (3 players - 2 are all in)

River: (t2576) 7 (3 players - 2 are all in)

Is it a push or a fold?

Just put this into wiz and it says push 33% (Ax, K8o, Q8o, 78s) with CO shoving 50% and BB over calling with 40%, A9o is +2% tEV so a very profitable call
