Its really situationel dependent. Sometimes it good to shove with 15BB sometimes a 2.5x raise is better. You need to post hands for a more specific answer!

depends mostly on how many players remaining, then the next important factor is their stack sizes.

Re: ****Official Beginner/Basic Question Thread****

what to do with small pocket?! limp? raise 3bb? for example early game with the 1500 chips stack, not in position (I know its better to raise 3bb if ur in late position and first to talk)

No money in STTs, everyone's solid

Serious tho, you should play whatever you are better at playing, not what other people are better at playing.

Check the STTF FAQ

Re: SH or FR for living?

the softer blind's structure is, the biggest difference between these two categories (for example good push/bot'ers arent that great at fulltilt's 6max games (where we have 15/30 20/40 30/60 40/80 50/100 60/120 80/160 100/100 etc) because of weak non pushfold play)

Really Basic Question

So im trying to get more into the 6-max super turbos on Full tilt. Just have a really basic question, say i know a reg is pushing any two on my bb from the sb and i have a weak ace is this an auto call? (1st round of blinds)
I know in general stt you dont want to be taking coin flips in the early stages but is it a call in these formats?
Same goes for when you have less than 5 bb in the latter stages of the tourney, is this a snap call now because im short and need the chips or am i better folding and finding a better spot to push?
I suppose what im looking for is some basic strategy to apply in these situation when you are 90% sure you are ahead of a pushers range, but not by much are they call? (obv not bubble).

Thanks for any help and sorry for the basic question.

Can someone explain this HEM Red line graph? I have HEM and I am seeking to analyze my luck factor. However, these are for MTTSNGs. Thanks.

Yeah variance is lower but in no way low. 20+ downswings remain very standard and if you're like 15 tabling it is in no way rare that you only cash in 3.

9-10 people sng's

Quick question: Are the value the same in 10 people sng's as in 9 people sng's??

I have switched site to Titan poker and i noticed that there are offering (as the only choise) sng's with 10 persons.. On my old site there were only 9 persons?? Does this mean anything??

Re: 9-10 people sng's

No, it's different value.
Bigger prize pool ldo

It means the value of your hand decreases fractionally. It also should mean slightly more fish money, so it should mean your ROI should increase slightly over an equivalent 9man game against an equivalent standard of opposition.

Re: ****Official Beginner/Basic Question Thread****

I am a cash player and I've just started playing $3.25 6 max sngs where HU cashes. I don't have numbers but I feel like I'm losing heads up a lot since I'm often sliding with a chip disadvantage.

Am I playing too tight on the bubble? It seems like ignoring the bubble too much is extremely -EV.

How do beat 6 max SnG?

I have been playing a lot of Dirty Dozen SnG's lately (12 persons tournament with two table of 6. Top 4 gets in the money. If you win four in a row, a bonus on 2000$ is granted).. But me question is how to beat these 6 max STT's?? There is a lot of different and confusing strategies on the internet, but i want to hear how you guys play it?. thanks for the answers.

U probably don`t have enough sample size to make a meaningful conclusion, but if the problem continues over a large sample: You probably play too tight on the bubble/don`t play very agressive as a bigstack and use that advantage to cut the other stacks down/don`t reshove enough when appropriate.

Don`t get me wrong; U r not supposed to be playing like a maniac, but playing to tight and overvaluating the bubble factor is also wrong.

Re: ****Official Beginner/Basic Question Thread****

I need more HU experience and have chosen the Super Turbo HU @ Full Tilt, to help with my HU play for Turbo SNGs. Is this the correct approach?

Or is there a better method?

normal 5 seat

i used to play doubles at unibet, changed to normal 5 and 10 seats,

Last month made a 40% profit, this month i lost almost 50 % of my money, i just canīt control the game anymore.

I go all in most of the times ahead, and keep losing to 30 % hands, this is unreal.

I changed down 2 levels, and i keep losing big time.

I play like 25 stt per session, and i canīt control the game anymore.

I need help from someone cause i just donīt know what to do anymore, i play for 9 months at unibet and every month i had profit, now i need to make a drastic change or my money will go away.

I started at 1.25 doubles and made 1000 euros, now i only have 400 € never lost so many hands when im in front all in pre flop.

What you guys think is more easy? doubles, 5 or 10 seats? normal ( 10 turns ) or super turbo ( 5 turns )

Thanks.
