Re: Number of Registering Sit & Gos on PokerStars

I'm willing to try the new system with an open mind, but my hunch is that 4 hyper satellites at a time will not be enough, especially on a Sunday.

IF the server isn't lagging it's not a problem at the 7 or 30 dollar 6m hyperturbos, and I think those are more popular than the hyper satties?

However on Sunday the server can sometimes respond slowly to registration requests, which can be irritating indeed because by the time you've registered the game has already filled. Stars should fix that . Haven't had the problem since the world record tourneys though, so maybe they added some capacity given the amount of lag they suffered there.

Well it might not be a problem for you but I have no idea how you register. Some of us use the SNG Sensei on Table Ninja and it's annoying to have it running more than every 60 seconds or so. Only having 4 at a time is going to be frustrating for people who don't manually register.

its one click with tableninja man, i register manually and even when i have 25 tables it isnt hard...
ofc you can be lazy and register to 50 games, but realise that it scares off casuals or confuses them and they decide not to play, like a kid in a candy shop 'what to eat, arghhhhhhh my brain hurts from all this possibilities'

I am not sure I understand your concern. I use the Sensei running every 30 secs, it quickly gets me up to my desired number and quickly registers me in another when I drop out of one. I think Sensei and the 4 limit in the lobby works perfectly.

yeah its def annoying for me getting up to 24 tables 4 at a time. But most of us ITT are willing to sacrifice a little in order to make a cleaner lobby that will be better for the games. You honestly get used to it, at least i have.

Ya not many answers of late huh.

I would like to echo a earlier post of how we are all working together even if we have different views on some suggestions, it is very refreshing.

Unfortunately the side effect of a vocal minority of cash game players causing a ****storm over the rake changes is SNG players getting put on the back burner for the time being.

It should be today or tomorrow. I'll post when the deployment takes place.

throw in 15+30 9max hyper and 60 6max hyper when you are at it for a test run, and when it works fine (not if) you can add more.

Steve
Just realized I signed that previous post Steve, so I thought I had better explain

My name is Steve Walmsley, but due to the number of Steves at PokerStars I tend to be called Walmsley to avoid confusion. I still occasionally fall into the habit of signing posts and emails as Steve though.
