Merge $11 6max folding overpair on a paired board

I find myself in this position somewhat frequently, with an overpair on a paired board. Do you ever fold to a check/raise here? Opponent is somewhat passive 29/10/1.8. But most of the time, I feel like he is value-towning himself or spazzing out way too much to consider folding.

Merge - $0+$0.00|<> NL (6 max) - Holdem - 4 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

SB: 1,280.00
BB: 1,303.00
Hero (UTG): 4,217.00
BTN: 2,200.00

SB posts SB 50.00, BB posts BB 100.00

Pre Flop: (150.00) Hero has K K

Hero raises to 225.00, fold, fold, BB calls 125.00

Flop: (500.00, 2 players) 6 9 9
BB checks, Hero bets 150.00, BB raises to 450.00, Hero raises to 1,650.00, BB calls 628.00 and is all-in

Turn: (2656.00, 2 players) 4

River: (2656.00, 2 players) 5

I don't fold when the card they need to have is a 9 because they'll often be trying it on with a pair vs the AK they put you on. I wish I would learn to when it's a broadway because they just seem to have it so often.

I think it's good too if OP is trying to accomplish what happened in this hand...but then it's hardly worth posting.

Line checks are good. Figure out if missing anything.

Flop sizing looks good to me, we want him to spazz out with nothing and cr his made hands (most of which we crush obv), if we bet 350 he only goes with his value hands.

I'd prob flat the flop raise; expect him to throw the rest in on the turn, get his stack with his pure bluffs and value hands.

I shipped and he spazzed with 6x this time. Pretty common situation, and wondering if you can ever fold.

I totally agree with this, imo flatting is much better then shoving esp in position. When u shove over his raise he folds all bluffs and maybe some other hands,i call and hopefully he shoves the turn,if were not afraid of him having a 9 then why shove? The line just looks super strong to me.

And pretty much never ever folding flop

Bet 200-225 otf, snap shove raise here.

Never fold unless villain is super-duper ultra nit...even then folding is bad lol.
