There are def. tons of factors that go into this. Great discussion. Obv CJ thinks I suck b/c literally 2 minutes after reading this post he loaded his set on top of mine

Does that make any sense? I run bad at phrasing things.

Yeah it makes sense, Darin was just a little confuzzed, unless he's hiding some 10%+ROI at 100s/200s+ nowadays and he isn't telling anyone

But well if you "only" drop from 2 tables/hr to get a slightly better ROI (how much did he increased ? 2-3%?) then for sure it should be more profitable I guess.
This is what I agree with.
Screw your ROI give me $ hourly by far.

screw roi
screw hourly
give me $/month

i'd rather make 12k a month making 40$/hr than 10k making 50$/hr, if I don't value those 100 extra hours to be >2k worth

screw everything, just give me infinite run goooot.

well.....I think what sucks most is waiting 15 minutes before loading your set to avoid the regs, then you register for 20 sng's and once they load up you realize that you are sitting there with at least 3-4 other regs

I really don't understand why ppl. just can't wait a few minutes to load their sets.

Site selection would help your game selection out immensely.

Why is it that most 2+2 STTers seem to play the 16s...

Where is the sharklist feature? Can't find it anywhere and I feel pretty dumb.

If regs load on top of you and you don't like it, can you not just unreg?

Because the $16s offers the best deal in terms of Rake. A comparison of the 2 popular sites

FTP

$11+$1: 9.09% rake
$22+$2: 9.09% rake

Stars
$6+$0.5: 8.33% rake
$25+$2: 8% rake

$15+$1: 6.67% rake (WINNER!)

Of course FTP has RB, but still the rake will be 6.64% after RB. And Stars has its FPP VIP program which is superior.

Oops I am digressing..just to share why the $16s are so popular and reg-infested lately.

I find it funny how these post keep popping up about table selection at the 16's, yet all the people who are complaining continue to play them with each other. The 16's are just too crowded to avoid playing with 2-3+ regs in everyone during the day. I played maybe 60-70 today, and most had at least 3 regs, and most had people who posted above, including op. I tried, "table selecting", but I would have waited all day to find a table without 2-3 regs. But what do I know, going to go load up a set with some regs, and continue my 2000 break even streak.

Some people try to make me say what I did not say in this thread. The point was to quantify the cost of regs/good players in your games, period. Now everyone can do whatever they want to, and obviously you'll never be able to completely avoid regs at $16s and higher. But it's worth waiting a bit to play only with 2 instead of 4, and that would be my choice.

I would fight and pay to play a table with only 9/6 type of regulars.

you would probably only do this until you ran out of money.

does having a player like "dana gordon" at my tables help or hurt my roi?

i'm guessing even the bad/losing regs hurt your roi a bit.
