I'm playing quite small stakes SnG, 5 - 10 dollar buy-ins, 6 max turbo.

So, I'm doing some of these coaching quizzes, and doing OK. I find the push spots easier than the calls...

I'm thinking though, is this training me to be a bad player at these stakes? The quizzes are all based on Nash ranges but nobody's playing optimal Nash games at these stakes.

Would it be a fair rough guide for me to learn from the quizzes and then loosen up my push ranges and tighten my calling ranges based on the generally nitty players, then adapt for the ones who don't into that?

Also, when they quiz you on 3 player situations (bubble) do they take into account the fact that you might want to let players clash against each other and fold your decent holding? Or do you need to make that judgement yourself?

Just wondering how much I can benefit from these quizzes, any thoughts would be gratefully received.

Thanks!

personally, i would say you would be better off diving deeper into individual hands. You can change variables within said hand and see how ranges respond to different variables(stack sizes, opponents range).

ICmizer has a "future game" mode where the program is supposed to predict likely future outcomes. However, i dont know how accurate this is. In this case, your past reads on players are going to be a better indicator of future things to happen opposed to a computer program that has not had past reads. Mizer is going to be simply math based and it probably uses a Nash Model when predicting future games.

Constructing ranges for you opponents is crucial. You also need to make sure you are adjusting their shove/fold ranges when you fold, in certain spots that will change your range completely.

With that being said, I have a general question. How does everyone go about setting ranges for randoms? I'm having a difficult time assigning ranges on an anon site and I feel like not doing this correctly can crush you
