I have a hard time with ICM. I understand the concept I'm just not sure of what's the best way to go about learning.

I downloaded sitngo wizard and when I import my hands I can see where I made mistakes on when I should fold or push. The thing is I don't know why.

It shows me the push and fold equity but how do I use this while I'm playing? Should I just memorize it for every hand????

The more hands you analyze, the better you will get. While playing you can't use SNGWizard, it's an analyze- + practise tool.

There is no other way than practicing, preferedly with real hands u played. Everytime u're unsure, u can mark the hand in game and analyze it later with w/e ICM program. If u practice enough, u will start feeling when to do what, like "I'm folding J8o here but J9o feels to be break-even call against nash jamming range".

It's hard at first! Just keep plowing through and a lot of lightbulbs will come on as you put the work in. Feel free to post a couple hands that are really troubling you on the "why" aspect as once that's explained to you a little better then you will understand the big picture more. Understanding the why of a lot of situations is probably more important than knowing the exact ranges.

Also this and other icm calculators are not meant for in game use, don't expect to be able to memorize every range because that's pretty unlikely unless you're a sauvant.

Stay patient, it will take time.
