How do you play AK in this hand?

This hand just happened. I wasn't the one with AK but I wondered how he could have played it different to not lose so many chips. Can he ever jam flop here, or fold turn/river?

Also is my bet sizing okay in this hand? Figured I got it all in so I played it pretty well. I'm more interested in how the villian could have gotten away from this.

Thanks.

Your sizing: pre might be a tad on the large side but not a big issue. Rest is fine.
Villain: he's a 71/14 guy... you can't really rationalize his line - they are always gonna be wrong. He doesn't really beat anything OTF though.

Re: How do you play AK in this hand?

I don't think he can get away here at any street. I would have shove pre with AKo OOP and with that raise, I don't like calling at call. Then, when he called you pre, he has to shove that flop. There is nothing he could do to get away, but he didn't play the hand well either.
And yes, sizing bet is ok, maybe pre is 250 instead of 300, but it is almost the same.

I'm mystified why you care what villain did or didn't do. You're not really nitty enough for him to want to fold pre so he should probably shove, and consequently there's no way for him to lose fewer chips.

I don't think he can fold the flop without a read and should get all his chips in there too.

I think AK player played it very bad. There is nothing he can win in the flop. QQ player i think is better to 250 pre and bet smallin in flop like half pot to induce worse

Re: How do you play AK in this hand?

AK should be a fairly easy fold otf, and shoving accomplishes very little imo. He beats hardly anything in your range.

An argument could be made for just shoving it pre though, since over 25% of his stack is already on the table. And if you're image is very tight, he could just fold it pre as well since he's OOP and will mostly miss the flop..and shoving pre against your range is kinda meh.

In other words, calling pre and then going broke on that flop seems like the worst option.

Nothing worth discussing here. And he beats a lot on that flop.

Re: How do you play AK in this hand?

Well AK should have shoved pre obv.

OTF, he can't really ever fold.
Also, what the **** are you all saying not much he beats on that flop? AK beats lots like KK, KQ, KJ, QT, JT, TT, 99, 88 etc.

And which of those will call a shove otf? And which of those does hero bet 450 otf with? BB shoves flop and only gets called by better hands, so it's pointless imo.
