Ok, this seems really basic but I'm afraid it has been bugging me and I was just hoping someone could explain it to me in Lehman terms. I feel i cant see the wood for the trees right now.

What effect does the vpip of players behind have on uor shoving range?

Eg:

We are btn with 10BB with 22. We jam.

Is our EV greater with 2 huge fish in the blinds or with 2 massive nits in the blinds? And WHY?

This is obv unrealistic example but you see what I mean i hope.

I would have thought that it was better to have to nits. When we are called we are flipping at best and fish are gonna call you wider than they should and with lots of crap that is super sucky for us.

Depends on the hand you are shoving. Against nits you can shove a wide bluff range, and against fish (cally fish?) you can shove a wide value range.

if you want to get called it is better to have fish behind you, and if you dont want to get called it is better to have nits. Of course with nits, you are going to want to be called less because when they call you they are going to have you beat more often even if you have a good hand that you want to be called with.
