Do you have a better ROI at double-or-nothings or triple-or-nothings?

Seems like the doubles are better, if for no reason other than its half the juice than the triples...

Thoughts wanted!

Half the rake, and half the time to finish. I tried Triple Ups when I started playing STT's, and while I ran well over my small sample size, the length of time to complete one made me move away from them into Double Ups pretty quickly. Ive had triple ups taken 1.5 hours to finish before. Thats great if your paying to play poker, but Im paying to win money, so Double Ups, and Hyper Turbos are your best friend if you want to build your bankroll quickly.

Btw, my ROI is higher in Triple Ups than the Double Ups, and Hyper Turbo, but sample size is small so Im not sure if Triple Ups tend to be higher ROI vs. the DU, HT.

Hmm that is what I found, I can complete a double up in about 40-45 minutes.

I don't think they ever get to the 250/500 level, I think only 1 out of the 100 I've played so far got that high

I didn't think about the Hyper Turbos but that's probably a pretty good idea, albeit more of a crapshoot...

I wouldn't say its a crapshoot, but it can feel like it at times. Ive only played about 400 Hypers so far, and swings of 10-20 buyins -/+ within 10-20 games are somewhat common. The upside is that you can literally claw yourself out of a downswing within just a few hours if you're playing 3+ tables at a time.

Tilt is a factor though. Ive never tilted so hard at any poker game more than Hyper Turbos, and I love me some PLO, so I understand tilt well, and I still get very frustrated if not outright shouting angrily many times

If you try Hyper Turbos, 100+ buyins is mandatory for your psyche when you hit a downswing. Knowing Im only down 10-15% when I hit a bad run helps me alot, so I do recommend being over-rolled or close to it if you try them out.

seems like they would actually take longer than the turbo double or nothings. 10 minute levels is nuts, even though by the 25/50 level you're pretty much at push/fold mode I'm guessing

The people at ignition are idiots. Its not actually 10 minutes for blind levels in the Hyper Turbos. I just timed it, and it was around 2 minutes.

I grind 5 dollar Hypers on Ignition. ROI has been just under 10% including rake over 2k sample. Variance is surprising lower than i expected as i have only had one slightly losing month and my roi ranges between .98-1.21 over a 10th month sample playing roughly 200 tourneys each month.
