AKs facing two shoves

Here's a fun one. Third hand of a 6-max bounty SNG. UTG is a winning player, according to Sharkscope (but has only played 35-or-so SNGs logged by ss), but over 26 hands with me he's 42/19, and I've seen him make some pretty fishy plays (limping a lot, and then in two instances, shoving the flop with top pair weak kicker like J2). MP is a winning reg according to Sharkscope, and this is only the third hand I have with him, his first active. Only two hands with BTN, but he's labeled a fish by Sharkscope.

Merge - $10+$1.00|<> NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

MP: 1,500.00
Hero (CO): 1,490.00
BTN: 1,520.00
SB: 1,942.00
BB: 1,400.00
UTG: 1,148.00

SB posts SB 10.00, BB posts BB 20.00

Pre Flop: (30.00) Hero has K A

UTG calls 20.00, MP raises to 90.00, Hero calls 90.00, BTN calls 90.00, fold, fold, UTG calls 70.00

Flop: (390.00, 4 players) 3 3 7
UTG checks, MP bets 260.00, Hero calls 260.00, BTN calls 260.00, UTG raises to 1,058.00 and is all-in, MP calls 798.00, Hero ???

I'd 3 bet pre, as played you have odds to call now with just the nut flush draw, and you may be a slight favorite depending on the other two hands with two overs as well.

agreed with the 3-bet in position, especially if the MP raiser has a wide 3-bet calling range.

Calling pre is fine, but raise/get it in otf

Not crazy about the paired board, but MP's range is weighed more toward overpairs...of which you're a favorite with overlay.

As played, meh probably fold.

Re: AKs facing two shoves

I'm OK with the flat pre, although a 3bet IP would be nice too.

Really don't like the call OTF for about 1/5th of your stack. I think you have to know why you are calling and what your plan is OTT. Imagine the rest fold and a brick comes on the turn. Are you folding to another barrel with so much invested? If no, then you should be raising the flop here.

I don't like the call at all. You kind of have to raise here.

Re: AKs facing two shoves

I didn't 3bet because a reg's 3bet range matches up pretty strongly with our hand, and I'll have position on the flop. Not too crazy about building a big pot against a reg in the third hand of a tourney.

On the flop, I put MP on an overpair, and UTG likely on a similar draw, or another pair, so I figured I was in front or had enough equity, so I shoved. MP had 88 and I hit a king, but bricked the flush against UTG's flopped trips with...36s.

Generally, I don't like to play big hands like this on the first level of a SNG, and don't particularly like AK in a multi-way all-in, but when it turns into a nut flush draw, I figure it's worth getting it in.

Re: AKs facing two shoves

As played, this is a fist pump get it in. UTG and MP's ranges consist of overpairs,77,33 UTG's a donk so he could easily be shoving 22 here thinking it's good + rando terribad bluffs.

We only need like ~27% equity to break even ignoring any ICM (number will be slightly skewed by sidepot with MP). We have this vs. even the tightest of ranges.

The call pre is standard versus most. Raise flop to 580, and call it off on the flop or shove any turn.

Re: AKs facing two shoves

Well MP is never folding to a push so shoving 1k more to win 4k with 2 overs and a flush draw is a no brainer imo. We're only dead against 77 and the flush draw is going to give us enough equity cEV wise to ship it. A lot of the times our over cards are going to be outs as well so I'm guessing we have near 40% equity in this spot which is amazing considering we get like 4:1.
