U could shove pre at 19bb, but v unknown it's likely to be pretty much break even play. Alternative line is the one you took, which I also think is a fine play.

I typically respect an UTG open as you should be very tight from that position. However since the UTG had a 27.91 PFR I would have shoved my pocket 8s for 20 BBs assuming he was raising wide in that position.

I would also review previous hands and see how often he was raising from UTG and if 2 BBs was his typical raise size and if not what hands did he have when he min raised.

I took this as strength because he really wasn't raising preflop he had just been calling a lot. In the end V turned over QQ and won it

Flatting pre is good, the stack distribution sucks pretty hard for u.
Postflop also optimal imo, wp. Must call flop, turn is debatable but I call as well. I also don't see donking flop or turn as any good, so not much of a choice. Question is more like: What rivers are we gonna c/c for what sizing and what are we gonna c/f? Is there value in donking some rivers and for what sizing then?

You have to call pre and otf. The difficult decision making starts ott. You basically have to decide if your giving villain credit for TPTK or better and you'v understandably decided he's betting overcards or a draw. It's likely there's no 9s in villain's range as a lot of players are even letting A9s go utg. None of the overpairs can be discounted though.

Villains's fds get there and the river is horrible if he shoves. Your rarely good if he takes that line and you'v committed roughly half an already short stack. These hands make or break you in terms of cashing in the sng.
