Hood, thanks for the time you've put into what is an excellent post. This gives a great insight into how much work goes on besides the time actually spent at a table. Too many people think poker is all about table time and nothing else is needed, and that is clearly not the case.
Basically, if you want to make a career out of poker, it needs to be treated like any other career, in as far as ensuring that your skills are as up-to-date as possible and in line with best practice in your chosen field.
I'm just trying to get the hang of HEM myself, this definitely gives me a few interesting pointers that I probably would never have found out.
