I haven't been playing poker lately, but I started to listen to some poker podcasts during the slow season at work to pass the time. This has me feeling nostalgic. So I looked up some old time STTFers on hendon mob.

Did you guys know Eagles took down the PCA high roller in January for $780k? Pudge is also doing very well.

Hey guys long time no see in STT for me.
Just dropped in to post some bad news. Jaxtraw who used to frequent these forums passed away yesterday it seems. Not sure how active he was in recent years as he moved away from poker a bit.
Really nice guy who I worked with on his jaxtraw poker project just after BF. He has 2 small children as well which is especially sad. RIP

Just saw the sad news myself, such a nice guy and devoted family man.
Grinded same games as him back in the day, and briefly was involved in the same jaxtraw poker project. Hands down the most likable player I have gotten to know over the years.

RIP Jax. Sucks. I didnt had much to do with him, but he seemed like a great guy.

He helped me a lot figuering out when someone bluffs and get the confidence to hero-call. I remember that coaching session every time I make such a call.
