One other point. In sure you meant middle class income has remained static, true, but since you used "wealth", middle class wealth has dropped dramatically over time, 28% in the 2001 to 2013 time frame.

On a more positive note my kid Erin got accepted to the fully funded PhD program for economics at university of Nevada Reno.

Didn't realize wealth had dropped that much. I would think that's mainly due to the housing crash. I just wanted to kind of make the point, that I don't think we're necessarily headed towards abject poverty for the masses, but more like Bernie says, all "new wealth" going to the top. And because of increasing productivity new wealth is going to keep coming, barring major instability, which is inevitable if things get too far out of whack.

Water seeks it's own level. The economy, our environment and all socializations each seek their own level and will thrive given the opportunity to balance the force it has.

If outside forces (politics) exert pressures that alter the balance, then nature struggles to maintain the level it seeks.

Right now, politics seem to be exerting pressures on every front that hinder and/or make it impossible for natural levels to maintain themselves in our country. All things are not equal, nor equally powerful.

Congrats Erin! I'm proud of you.

There's a US election coming soon?
04-18-2016 , 11:47 AM
I'll suspect your being sarcastic, but yes, sorta. Primaries are going on now, election in November.

(I may be wrong, only reason I know you guys had one is the outcome seemed to surprise people so it was in our news for a while)

A Canadian might possibly have not heard of Bernie, but there's no escaping the TRUMPENING.
04-18-2016 , 02:42 PM
True, the election has seemed more like an MTV reality show this year.
04-18-2016 , 03:52 PM
I was being sarcastic. Even without cable or satellite service and living in Canada, the US elections and their duration are over done.

Lacky, I fully agree and also congrats :-)

Lol, solid name though.

Luckily I cashed out on the Bernie bet in time. Thxs to Asher et al.

A few years ago, a german town "Schwäbisch Gmünd" (I know right) built a tunnel and also made a voting for its name. The town is somewhat connected to Bud Spencer, who did swim in some tournament there, way back when he was a professional swimmer, and the guy has cult-status in germany.

So, people wanted to name it "Bud-Spencer-Tunnel". Unfortunately, the city-majors didnt like the idea and instead went with the awesome name "Einhorn-Tunnel" (Unicorn-Tunnel)??? They did rename their swimming pool, into "Bud-Spencer-Pool" though.

Today I got an unusually big refund of >$400 because of people breaking ToS in my games (mainly $60-$200 6max hypers). Did any of you guys receive anything too?
I wonder if this was some regs colluding or randoms doing it on a big scale, because usually those refunds are like $50 max
04-28-2016 , 03:21 PM
$100 here, and real curious to see which Eastern Euro accounts (if any) aren't around anymore...

Hey Steve,

My congrats to Erin as well.

Nothing feels better than something going right for your kids.

I got $467 and I've been playing only $15 spins!! :O:O:O

Gonna guess a number of accounts were using AI to play/apply certain strategies (i.e. in "solved" spots and some others). There's a pattern and flow that is a bit unique from a human who studies/tries their eyes out attempting to do the same thing.

Or something like that. There were other similar patterns that could very well just be a group of humans being themselves, but we'll see.

Agree with Gramps, I've heard of a ****ton of people getting refunds, and many huge ones (4 figure amounts)...seems wayyyy too much money has been paid out for it to just be one or even a couple of players
04-29-2016 , 01:33 AM
Pretty scary, but at least they caught (some of) the guys
04-29-2016 , 01:43 AM
Interesting part will be to see if they try to come back (on pre-existing accounts that suddenly become more/re-active, and/or by changing things up).

There's definitely a "type" of player that arouses suspicion after not very many games played (in 6-max Hypers anyhow). Hopefully Stars has found additional ways to detect if this (or any) type of player is using non-TOC approved aids.

How long could an investigation like this drag on? Last year two high volume regs that I always thought were up to sth. fishy stopped playing on 08/30 and 08/31 respectively. These guys were pumping out 300 games a day for a year and have never been seen since. They also played their first game on Stars within 2 weeks of each other. Their gameplan was also very similar to say the least. I dont think I have received a refund back then.
eu*****1 and VV*****o for those who are curious, dont know if its out of line for me to out them

Maybe its just the AI stuff, who knows. But I always wondered what happened to these guys

edit: well, assuming everyone who got refunded are/were 6max hyper regs

That's the weird thing though too, some pure MTT players, like Rounder63 for example, got a substantial refund and I'm quite positive he has never played a 6m hyper. Only SNGs I know he somewhat regularly plays (played?) were 18mans and a few 180mans.

But yea, all v interesting for sure

Spins, 6-max Hyper, & MTT. Gotta be some kind of AI/program assist detection?

"If" they found better ways to accurately detect those things, that would be pretty awesome.
