As I told her there are probably quite a few of us around that don't even play anymore online that still have their hand histories sitting around

This may be a memory test, but just read this on PokerNews coverage of the Big One for One Drop in Monte Carlo:

"Andrew Pantling, now the CEO of betting platform Matchbook (but in a former life a poker pro known as "ClockWyze" online), wasn't having the best of days. He lost several pots to become the short stack of the tournament when the dinner break commenced and busted the tournament shortly after play resumed. It wasn't long before Pantling bought back in as well, putting in another €1,000,000 to keep the chance of stardom and a big financial reward alive."

Jason Strasser also played the event.

PartyPoker $215s were ClockWyze's home I seem to remember

I really don't ever watch WSOP's but I caught a glimpse of this on f5Poker and I find it very upsetting.

So many things...

You're not allowed to mention the pot size when you're HU with no actions left?
You're not allowed to say "I'll show if you fold"?
Is that weirdo correct that there's a rule that you "can't say anything to influence action" - in a HU hand that you've got no actions left in?

I'm appalled by the floor here. And that main floorman was an absolute loser on a power-trip. "You're done explaining, if you say another word we'll make it two rounds". Go **** yourself. If by some wild stretch of the imagination 1 round (or any penalty) was fair, you don't get to double it because the guy is (rather politely, imo) trying to talk to you. I don't care if your wife hasn't given you a handy in months and you're miserable - go drown yourself like a normal human and stop taking it out on everyone else.

I don't know what the rule is but I'm definitely rooting against Kassouf there.

I'm sure the guy is annoying but I don't really care what he's done before - he didn't do a single thing wrong in this video no matter the context. the floor was emotional and handled it unprofessionally.

If any of those things actually are in the rules then it's adding to TV poker being absolutely unwatchable in recent years.

Forget the talking. He stalls every time the action is on him. If everyone at the table did that the game would be unplayable.
10-27-2016 , 12:50 AM
I'm sure he's annoying. I'm sure he's as scummy as the next person.
I'm with you on stalling. I'm all for making rules against and punishing intentional stalling. But stalling wasn't anything to do with the above. This was professional floormen being unprofessional because they didn't like a guy. This guy got a 1round penalty (and threatened to have it arbitrarily doubled for calmly asking to talk about it) because the floor wanted to show he was the biggest ******* in the room.

Cubs win a crazy series and election days away and nobody has anything to say?!

I'd take political talk over death by neglect at this point.

So how do we post pictures in the new improved digital age. I'm assuming we have moved past the need for imageshack?

Imgur. It's synonymous with reddit and unlikely to go anywhere soon.

It's highly educational to have Facebook friends who belong to completely different echo chambers. It's spectacular how any new piece of information in this heated political contest can be constructed and spun in such completely opposite/far-out directions. My team vs. yours, crazy-fan style.

Wish I'd bet on Hillary right before the 1st debate, with the plan to (likely) then bet on Trump right after the end of the 3rd, but oh well. Hope everyone on both sides respects the election/results/isn't an idiot post-facto. Each side may be better off long-run in some ways when losing.

imgur is pretty ****ty at times.

[ img ]url [ / img ]

On the imgur site if you right-click you can get the url of the image itself.

Sometimes they pop up this thing with embed links and have one for BBcode, but it wasn't working just now when I tried it.

Assuming those are your kids and we're sharing kid pictures, here's my kid's Halloween costume. It's not the best picture. That's a big spider coming out of her eye. She won best costume for a freshman at her HS.

Nice costume!

It's not your fault that the internet sucks nowadays. They have some stupid url for that stupid **** they do on their website because everyone always needs to change things or there'd be no need for them to have a job. So, they make a popping out slideshow thingy of what could just be a picture. Anyway...

Your picture is actually at:

http://i.imgur.com/D223HBs.jpg

It used to be that you just added the leading "i." to imgur photos to get directly there, but now they have a totally different url/filename and you have to right-click copy image location if you don't see the link for embedding an image. (if you have a Mac and don't have a right-click, I don't know what to tell you other than you spent too much money on your computer.)

Ok, got it. You have to find the hidden link. Classic. On a phone (android) if you tap in the right place it gives a drop-down arrow with a share links choice. If you tap wrong it makes the pic bigger.

So, I allowed this to happen at my house last night. I'm sticking to temporary insanity.

Lol beerocrat decided it's easier to just fix it than teach the old guy how do it right. He's right too.
11-04-2016 , 10:12 PM
Just holding down on the image and copying link address works too, and takes less tries

Old guy with camera phone has trouble posting pictures to the intrawebs? Right there with you big guy...

Pics are adorable, so are the kids. Hugs all around! (insert Emoji thingy here).

Lacky, thanks for asking about my boy. He is stationed in Okinawa. My little Marine is a cyber-warrior, (cyber network/security specialist). Basically an IT guy with all the latest, coolest tools available. Learning a lot and loving his career choice. Proud dad to be sure.

He will probably avoid active combat (unless he is forward deployed in some area of the Pacific to set up or repair networks on a ship or on land). He's a little bummed about that TBH... He is a Marine after all, and plans to go a full 20 years in the service. Great kid.
