Hillary lost, Brexit won, so the world is changing. Whether these things make you happy or sad, remember that there are good people on both sides of the argument.

The one takeaway no-one has mentioned about the US election is how similar the objectives of both Trump and Hillary are - fight ISIS, create jobs, reduce poverty.

They may have radically different views on how to achieve these objectives, but fundamentally the US remains united.

It's the same in Britain - both sides wanted a better life for the people, they just argued about how best to achieve that.

I'm planning to look for the good in everyone this year - and there's plenty of that visible in the people who still post in this thread.

Feeling upbeat because my eldest son told me he's getting married in July - I'm guessing it won't be long before I'm a granddad!!!

I just looked at the front page to see if we started a new thread (normally all I see is sunbscribed). It was a choice between answering every thread while being a huge douche at all the lame, stupid questions and dumber answers given, or close it fast and forget I saw it. Its late, saving me from being a dick. Sttf looks pretty lame now.
